Ok, who had the sniper ready to take out the left fronts of the Ferraris

Lewis wins but Vettel drops down to 7th from 3rd. After Raikkonen's then Vettel's Left front have punctured.

Heads need to roll at Ferrari. To have it happen to one car is incompetence, to have it happen to both cars with in a lap of each other is a fundamental **** up and unprofessional. Try explaining to a shareholder and financial backer how many points that cost the team and how much money it could cost come end of the year with each constructors place giving you more money.

Epic end to the race, shows that you just never know in F1, what a brilliant spectacle it is.

Tough on Ferrari he he but that's racing, Lewis has had his fair share of technical issues so today it was nice to see things go his way.

What a drive from Bottas and from Ricciardo though, absolutely phenomenal

Verstappen overtaking Vettel was also amazing.

Great to see Lewis win that and I loved it when he dedicated the win to Billy Monger.

Does anyone else find it utterly ridiculous that Wimbledon Final and British GP are always on the same day, considering both a major sporting events in the UK.

No F1 next week, so they could have had the race then, yes there's a race the week after but there was a race last week so back to back races is not a problem as they have it plenty of times and there's three in a row next year. After the race in two weeks,, it's then four weeks to the next race.

It just seems poor planning and lack of communication. People who only watch certain sporting events or without Sky had to choose which to watch today, while next week there's nothing to choose from. Same with non sport fans, they had two channels taken up by sport, so had their choice of non sport limited, while next week there's no sport.

You don't get the Cup Final and Grand National on the same day do you.

    Yes, this really annoys me.
Two huge British sporting events on the same day.
With both events available on normal TV, even casual viewers who aren't mad on sports and don't have Sky are able to watch.

A real missed opportunity to get people watching different sports and also increase viewing figures.

If Murray had been in today's final, I'd probably have chosen to watch that and missed most of F1.

My missus is convinced he's going to get poached by Ferrari next year. He needs to improve his decision making a little bit because he can be his own worst enemy sometimes but when he gets it right, he's awesome.

I thought it was a fascinating race at Silverstone, with some decent overtakes and a frantic, puncture-laden finish. Lewis drove an excellent race and deserved the victory, Max was his usual rambunctious, precocious self, while Valtteri performed superbly to claim second from a ninth place start. It was good to see Kimi grab a podium aswell.

Overall the championship is wonderfully poised, with only one point in it as we approach the mid-season break and I'm really looking forward to the remainder of the season.

It would be fantastic to see him back on the grid again LJOC. A genuine talent who has been missed in his absence. Do you think he's going to make it all the way back to F1 properly?

I think if he does well in this testing and Palmer continues to struggle we will see Kubica before the season is finished.

Will obviously depend on how he gets on in testing but it would be good to see him back in F1 as a driver.

some pretty rubbish drivers in F1 these days

    Wherlein, Kyvatt, Palmer

    just crash test dummies

what they all have in common - a big budget to convince teams to seat them

get these chumps out of F1

Disagree there, I like Wherlein. Gets a lot out of the worst car on the grid the last two years with quite a few points finished and Q2 entries. In a better car he could be excellent.

That was 70 laps of boredom - no overtaking coz no one could get close enough to the car in front....
Verstappen did his best to excite us, with the possibility of a punch up with Riccardo
Vettel was his normal naff self with his Egyptian poses

Whoever takes pole at the Hungaroring always wins because there are so few places to overtake. Completely pointless Grand Prix in my opinion. Almost as pointless as Monaco.

Great track to watch live from. But to yr point. Yes, F1 can be very boring and its not as if the powers that be haven't known that for a long time.

Remove the front and back wings and let them at it.
