What does it come to though? We have lots of better options.

No chance. They're not even in the same stratosphere on either count.

How do you mean, you think our midfield players provide better options than Barkley?

Yes. I've never seen him look comfy in CM and Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Mane who is he better in AM than?

I would have him over gini. I don't remember the last time Firmino being in our midfield. I would go with this....

    Lallana / Cou Barkley
    Can

    Messed up format

    DM - Can
    CM Barkley
    CM Lallana or Cou

Ah see whenever I've seen him play CM on TV I think he makes the wrong decisions and loses the ball in dangerous areas. As a CM in our current system I'd have Wijnaldum.

The two I've mentioned were bad signings, though, weren't they?

They've been excellent, but I still think they are capable of signing poor players and, if they have a touch less good fortune next season in injury terms, they should lose a few points.

Can we please delete this forum and start again.

So many threads about such average players.

I have a new forum format.

I start one thread and post a load of crap which everyone gets a single like button to press after each post.

    Winner.

I still reckon with the right guidance and management he could be a superb player.
