    Good Luck Studge.

Hope you stay fit and healthy, bang in loads of goals for your new club and make the England World Cup squad for the summer.

You are an exquisite finisher and your goal scoring record is second to none, but here under Klopp, you need to have much more than goals in your locker to make the overall team.

Thank you for the memories. I wish you all the best.

Why? One season of being good.....the rest a big disappointment
Don't care what he does ....we just need to get some money for him.

It may be the lack of football recently, but he looked really bad when he was put through for that late chance. Was caught up with almost immediately and fluffed 2 good chances at it. Hope he regains some fitness and shapness and gets goals again, but I've thought for a while all those injuries and rushing him back have caught up with him, just like they did with Torres.

Yet fans here think he would have been a good option for us off the bench. He is hardly on the bench to prove it.

I wish him well, though, he might just knock in some helpful goals for them.

Will not return. In his prime with Suarez, a joy to watch but those are days long gone.

For those 18 months since his arrival till the end of 13/14 season Sturridge was world class. Together with Suarez they were arguably the best attacking duo of the time. Shame it only lasted for so long..

Yeah, he was pure class. It’s also a bit sad that a player who was once so vital to us, just kinda wandered off to another club without much fanfare.

It’ll be interesting to see if he shows his class with a bit of a run in a team. Or if he’ll even stay fit long enough to find out.

Felt for him last night, sadly maybe thats it for him now, dont think he will ever regain full fitness, he has had some of the best medical care going but none of it seems to work, shame really as you say had some great memories and a fit Danny would be a great asset.

Agree wholeheartedly with the first part of your post Ray but hugely doubtful about the last.

    Its a huge huge shame

he truly is a phenomenal striker when fit

Privileged to have seen him do his thing when fit and firing on all cylinders, but I'd be surprised (pleasantly) if we ever see that from him again

Was Danny ever meant to be a footballer? 3 mins he lasted. Shame.

Genuinely think he should retire, not cut out to be an athlete.

If only his fitness level matched his talent he would be one the best strikers around.Looks like it always will be the case of what could have been.

Poor old Danny, very sad to see that last night, what a waste of talent.

It was interesting that Pardew was quite direct in saying hed be back soon as hes desperately needed, it almost sounded like he was talking straight to Danny himself.

It's a real shame because he could have been one of the best strikers in the world, and to be honest when it was SAS, he was up there.

Souness said that he's lazy in his warm-up...

I don't know about that, but his days are numbered at Liverpool -- I suspect he will run down his contract and not move until next year.
