Might need a magnifying glass. Or some sort of electron microscope. It's VERY fine print.

One poster banned...and more will follow if the constant personal sniping continues.

This thread is to discuss FSG...not an excuse to have a pop at perceived groups of supporters or any supporter for that matter.

    Thanks

I ask this in every FSG thread, apart from the benevolent billionaires, which three PL owners would you prefer to have?

A leap that Neil Armstrong would be proud of.

Both true to an extent, but if the manager chose the players he's sending out there and refused to bring in others when given the chance, as we've seen this January with Klopp, how is that the owners fault?

Could the club have spent more on players? Sure. I've been guilty of saying that about them too in the past. But I can also totally understand that if I were the owner, I would be a little hesitant to sanction more big spending after some of the big-money flops that we've brought in since arriving. We all know the names & the price tags.

I won't give the owners full credit for everything good around the club, but I certainly won't blame them for all the wrongs either. It's not fair to dismiss all of the positive things they've done because I may be unhappy about one thing or another. I just feel that we're in better hands than we've been in, in quite a long time and things are certainly looking up for the entire club and the supporters.

His statement: The quality of the player leads to slips, bad goalkeeping, and bad defending. Obvious corollary: Stevie slipped because he wasn't up to the quality required to not slip therefor not a quality player. Elementary level logic interpretation of his statement...

Klopp said so himself in one of his press conferences, but the clubs wouldn't sell.

It doesn't make it a lie either. But I do recall Klopp talking about it during some of his pressers. Even after losing out on Draxler, he mentioned during one of them of his dislike for players asking for what he felt was ridiculous wages and that clubs shouldn't overpay for players. He also didn't want to bring in just anyone if he didn't think they were a 'perfect fit'.

Perfect fit or not, we needed more depth at the start of the season and in January when we had injuries and Mane leaving for CAF. I'm not an apologist for the owners and I love Klopp, but I think he can be stubborn at times and refused to spend money 'unnecessarily' which he had available during both windows this year.

Of course there was, we made a profit in the summer so there was surely plenty available. Klopp just chose to keep his powder dry, rightly or wrongly.
