    Gylfi
    Niang
    Ramirez
    Rooney

That appears to be their planned business. And barring maybe Keane as a back up. I wouldn't want any of them at Liverpool.

In my eyes they are signing a load of 6s in order to build a squad which is currently non existent.
Yeah, a friend of mine (Everton fan) tagged me in a post yesterday about how Liverpool fans will react when we see that they've spent 75m in a day. Honestly wouldn't take one of them in our team, Pickford perhaps at a push

Both are better than we have...... I would only better happy though if they help us win trophies.... thats all that matters - Can they do the job required

    I woudn't.

As I seen a lad tweet when they got Pickford. His signing is very comparable to our two keepers.

He is coming off a season where he looked good cause he kept an awful Sunderland side in a few games; just as Mignolet did in the season before he joined us.

He's a young home grown keeper being mentioned in the conversation of the better keepers in the league. Just as Karius was in his last season at Mainz.

There are no guarantees, especially with young English keepers.

As for Klaassen; he's a decent footballer and makes sense for the Ev as their midfielders are for the most part defensive minded. However would he get into the side ahead of Can? Gini? Lallana? Coutinho? No I don't think so.

    You take the mick sometimes.

Our midfielders performed great last season. There's no way Klaassen gets into the side ahead of any of them.

As for Pickford. You could make the argument but the reality is history should teach one to steer clear of hyped up English goalkeepers. And also Mignolet and Karius both came from their previous clubs off the backs of lauded seasons only to struggle at Liverpool, so yet another tale of caution.

Do you think that if Lukaku scores goals for a small team, he will get more for a bigger team with superior players? Doesn't work like that

it depends on a striker. if you are inzaghi, you need creative players around who assists you(you must have excelent space position and timing) or you have strikers who can pick ball 40m from goal, run and do much themself.

    Exactly.

End of the day it might take us longer.

But I'm confident that the wide player we sign will be a couple of levels above Niang.

The striker we sign will be better than Ramirez.

The centre half we sign will be better than Keane.

The centre mid we sign will be better than Klaassen.

And obviously were not in the market for a keeper or attacking midfielder.

We are shopping at a different level to Everton.

I've seen some of their big fans on twitter admit that they can't compete with clubs above them due to lack of CL and wages.

Again though not taking away from Everton's business. It's good for them.

Pickford will offer more than Robles.

Keane would offer more than Williams.

Klaassen will offer more than McCarthy.

Niang will offer more than Valencia.

Gylfi would offer more consistency than Barkley.

Rooney would offer more than Kone.

Only one that would be a downgrade is Ramirez for Lukaku but simple fact is Everton aren't at the level where they can sign a player of Lukaku's quality.

If we'd signed them you'd be calling them 'deadwood' by now...

Koulibaly's agent has hinted that he could join Chelsea.

I find it very odd that they are targeting a centre half.

    Cahill = 31 and a bit suspect
Luiz = not a commanding CB in any way
Zouma = not sure they would want him as their 1st choice CB all season
    Terry = gone

    Not that surprising imo

    Azp-Cahill-Luiz

Bar maybe Azp, true none of them are spectacular, but as a unit they were very effective.

    But then you have Zouma-Christensen-Ake

That is such a promising young trio. They should be nurturing that.

Plus they've been playing Azpilicueta as a centre back and he's a right back and not that tall. Although, to be fair, he's a very good player and has done well in that position.

In a 2 he'd probably struggle, but on the right side of a 3 he's excellent I'd say.

Yeah, probably would struggle in a two. If they're going to continue with the back three he'll want more, and better options than he currently has.

The Lyon president has confirmed that Arsenal have made a very nice offer for Lacazette. At the same time he said he isn't leaving.

Personally still feel he'll end up at Atletico.

Reckon they'll sign him and loan him back to Lyon till January. Or maybe the deal happens in January.

Wow, didn't expect that. What is it with players in Spain and tax issues? Wonder where he'll go? He's surely too good (and wealthy enough) not to move to China/US just yet, back to Utd perhaps?

I'd say if Ronaldo leaves. They will look to bring in Hazard and Mbappe.

Yeh, but Hazard won't be moving this window surely? How can he pass a medical?

Didn't Ruud van Nistelrooy go to United with a major injury? And Gazza to Roma?

I guess if they are willing to take the risk there's technically nothing stopping them. Think we actually signed Carroll while injured (shock) now you mention it.

    Meh.

These stories always play out the same - high profile player from Real/Barca is accused of tax evasion, various stories start to circulate about how unjust it all is perhaps with suggestions that it's a Barca/Real bias in their HMRC, followed by suggestions that the player will flounce off in protest at the terribly unfair treatment they're receiving, finally followed by them paying what they owe and returning to business as usual.
