Regarding Spurs you would have to include Ryan Sessegnon who allegedly fancies a move to Spurs because he wants to stay in London. It's either that or his ambition is to not win medals.

This is the one true 'Rival Watch'

I have done it annually for 3/4 years. It's for tracking their transfers and comparing them to ours.

The 'Rival Talk' thread was created after the window shut last summer.

It's a very good thread. Far better than the "Spurs first XI is better than ours " thread which has no basis on fact.

Which won't happen for much longer. They are going to lose players, it's inevitable. Spurs are a selling club, just like Southampton and Everton. They are just like an alright looking girl in a room full of supermodels. They will get so far, but no further. It's painfully obvious they lack ambition.

If they don't sell any key players this window (which I doubt they will) and make a couple of quality signings I can see them winning the league next year tbh.

Everton certainly seem to be pushing hard for business.

Suggestions are they practically have Pickford in the bag.

    And are currently pushing for:

    Keane
    Maguire
    Klaassen
    Sigurdsson
    Niang
    Rooney
    Ramirez

Tbh they probably do need 8-10 players.

As their squad is quite small to begin with.

Then you've got Lukaku and Barkley looking to move on.

Aaron Lennon is obviously out for the long term.

They've let Kone go and Valencia has return to West Ham.

And suggestions that they are looking to sell Mori and McCarthy.

So they have plenty of players to replace it seems.

£30m for Pickford is extortionate, but if he sorts their keeper problem for the next 10 years than it's probably good business from their perspective. I'm surprised Joel Robles lasted two seasons as their no1, he wasn't great particularly after Howard had been so consistent.

Leicester supposedly close to getting Harry Maguire for £17m, which is probably because Huth and Morgan are well into their thirties and their main backup (Wasilewski) can't be relied on.

Lukaku scores Premier League goals for fun for a small team imagine playing for a Premier League team who has far superior players

Morata goal scoring record isn't as good as the Belgium

For me Lukaku is probably a better fit for United's style. Especially in the short term.

I expect Morata will score 15 goals for United next season. I'd expect Lukaku to get 20+

I credit Everton for moving fast. And I feel they are doing what they need to do as their squad is crap.

    However.....

    Pickford
    Keane
    Klaassen
    Gylfi
    Niang
    Ramirez
    Rooney

That appears to be their planned business. And barring maybe Keane as a back up. I wouldn't want any of them at Liverpool.

In my eyes they are signing a load of 6s in order to build a squad which is currently non existent.
