Yeah, I can't help feeling the same. That's his last 2 jobs he's lasted less than 3 months - perhaps there's something about the way he conducts himself day to day, or speaks to his bosses, that leaves them distinctly unimpressed.

I got the impression it was more that that's just Morata's song? Because the y word works in rhyme with Madrid?

    I could be wrong, though.

Oh right, I'd not actually heard the chant. Still pretty tragic although, given their fan base, not remotely surprising.

Exactly, and he was crazy to take the job. Now they are going to have Roy.. His brand is dull and duller.

    Lol at Palace...

Then again he was supposedly installing a more attack-minded style and they were held scoreless 4 league matches on the bounce so it's clearly not working...

I wouldn't put anything past that lot.

Though, in this case, it's a tricky one because Spurs fans always referred to themselves as that. In fact, they had to stop their own fans from chanting the word a few years back.

Ha ha - Hodgson is being linked to the Palace job, they believe he is a pair of safe hands. Where have we heard that before?.
    Fools.
It will be the dullest, most boring and negative football the Palace fans have ever seen.

Palace fell into the trap having a very organised And boring manager they thought they were better then that

then thinking hiring a more attacking manager would increase the chance of moving up the league,

the resources at Palace I limited it would take at least six Seasons to see any positive changes

    same thing with West Ham,

clubs of that small nature should be more patient and build things slower rather than thinking they can compete with the big boys

I saw a stat showing his win % at every PL club he's been at, including us, and they were all 34-36%, so he's very consistent(ly average) if nothing else.

    Hopeless from the board though.

A string of such managers, then appointed FDB in an attempt to change direction, then 4 games later they bottle it completely and bring in the Hodge.

    Shambles.

I remember Pardew also being an attempt to play better football, so it's even more all over the shop. When they fired him and brought in Allerdyce, they said they'd tried to go down a different footballing route, but it didn't work. That was one of the things that struck me when they hired De Boer, having tried it once and seeing it didn't work, why do it again. That may also have played a role in him getting fired so quickly, they'd seen it all before and barely avoided relegation.

I actually think Hodgson (or Wenger) could of done well with england, a manager who understands modern tactics. The players would just have to be more self-motivated when playing for their country, like they used to be. I bet roy wishes could re-set his time as england boss, and it's also somewhat a shame the last crop of english premier league players like cleverly weren't integrated into our national side.

Their attack is pretty lacking for sure but until this week they had been reasonably sound defensively.
