Origi over Firmino? Are you ok?

I think Firmino has been out of sorts for weeks. To be fair, so has Origi.

Our home form since the new year has been dodgy to say the least, up until the Swansea defeat it was superb. This game will be harder than our away games because Boro, if anything, have a mean defence. They'll sit deep as most teams do so we need to go in with the cup final attitude and perform amazingly well and go for the jugular from the off. If we **** it up from here then it'll be a tough one to take. I just hope and pray we are not left to rue ridiculous draws, esp the Bournemouth, West Ham home and Sunderland away games. Wrap the boys up in cotton wool all week Klopp! Arsenal fans are running with "Operation secret agent chambers" to help them get into the champs league!

If Sturridge starts, I think we will score.

I'll also add, the crowd for that game must be up for it. Full voice all game. I hope the supporters going to that match really bring their voices.
I concur. Whoever is going the game needs to be in full voice. The crowd must play and big part. Don't let it peter out.

Origi has been dog **** and doesn't have even the tiniest bit of the footballing ability Firmino does.

If he's fit it's not even debatable.

I honestly don't think they will, quite a few of their players will be looking to impress scouts, it's basically a free punch for them.

I don't think they are even that good at doing it anyway.

From what i've seen they are not to great defensively and then don't score goals, our 3-0 win up there showed that.

If they park the bus we'll batter them, if they try to attack we'll batter them, but then unless they become Barca mark II we'll only need 1 goal to win as they struggle to score goals.

I think it will be three or four nil.

But if we can't beat these we might has well pack up and call it a day.

i'd say 4 again , maybe im getting too cocky but its been put on a plate for us , i doubt we'll fail, if it was a team with something to play for then i'd be very nervous but it's boro who've been rubbish

They were better defensively under Karanka but did nothing going forward, since he's gone they've tried to attack and push more numbers forward but have been opened up quite easily at the back.

If our lot follow the old Shankly mantra there will be no problems...match them for determination and effort and the skill will take care of itself.

It shouldn't be too different to the West Ham game really, once the intensity builds the team with less to play for will likely struggle

I don't see why we cant. Once the first goes in then I can see us walking the game. They key will be the first. Get that and we'll score another bag full.

Better defensively but still conceding goals from what i saw, then unable to score on top of that. You could make a case for Palace, Saints, Bournemouth being threats to us but Boro just have none.

I think it'll be closer than some imagine. We will be nervous and Boro will put 12 men behind the ball.

Looked ridiculously poor at home lately and have really struggled to break sides down that have come looking for a point, lets hope we can blast them away early though!

Aye, they were scraping some draws here and there but with no threat they were bound to creak at the other end in games

Bring Firmino in for Wijnaldum and go all out. I liked the look of Origi and Sturridge together, and although Origi blows hot and cold I always feel like he has a goal in him.

    -----------------Emre--------------
    Bob------------Phil------------Lallana
    ---------Origi----------Studge---------

Need the crowd to be bouncing at the start as if it was a Champions League semi, and remain positive and patient if we don't get the early breakthrough.

As subs: Karius, TAA, Moreno, Klavan, Lucas, Grujic, Firmino,

I'd stick with the starting eleven which romped over the hammers at the London Stadium,

if Firmino gets back to availability, let's keep him on the bench as a second half option or impact sub,

should the game not unlock, or should one of our forward need a rest because of injury or fatigue,

our system and eleven worked at all yesterday, we were brilliant with the midfeld diamond and the two forwards, there's no reason to change those,

let's give our supporters another day to remember happily, and try to reward them with a deserved top four finish,

    bring on boro!

    C'MON YOU MIGHTY REDMEN!!!

We have to go absolutely mental in the first 20 mins and try to get ahead by a goal or two so they just fold

    This

The longer the game goes without a goal the less likely we will be of scoring ( I know that sounds ******** but you get what i mean )

Relentless attack , no let up, if we get one in the first 15 minutes we will destroy em

If it goes the first half with no goal I will start to get very worried

Exactly, they'll come to play, what's the use of them getting a 0-0?

Edit: Never mind just looked at the table and saw they have the second most draws in the league behind the mighty Manure. Probably will be looking for a draw.

If Firmino is fit he plays instead of Origi. I would stick with the diamond.

Klopp just has to ensure every player goes out onto the pitch with the same mentality.
They all need to realise this isn't a league game, its a first round Champions League qualifier.
