Strange team, they have conceded the least number of goals and scored the fewest in the bottom half of the table. Having said that I think they will be up for a scrap in their last EPL game to prove a point. 3-2 win for the reds.

naaaah, without Lallana lavishing his hard work, and with four forwards together on the pitch, we would expose excessively our backline to the boro counter attack,

it'd be too risky, better we stuck with the same starting eleven we battered the hammers,

Firmino up top and Lallana in and looks good.

Firmino on the bench if he's ready to come back.

Same team starts. Sturridge is a proper striker who can make the difference against all out defending.

Besides he's been paid ****loads this season for doing **** all. Getting us into the CL would go some way to making up for his fragility and absence.

Lallana has to play as does Sturridge which leaves straight choice between Origi and Firmino

there's not any doubt, mate, Studge and Divock have to form our striking partnership indeed,

Firmino has to start off the bench and possibly being an impact sub,

    cheers,

I'm hoping Man. City are held to a draw by West Brom or Watford which would put them and Liverpool on 76 points if we win our last game and all we have to do is better their goal difference and we sneak third spot off them. Simples!!

    I bet it's 0-0 on 75 minutes.

Firmino is three times the player Origi is, so if fit he has to start. Middlesbrough will sit deep, so the trickery of Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana and Sturridge will hopefully unlock them. Once we've scored and they come forward, Origi with his pace will be a bigger impact from the bench.

    This is a good plan.

Keep the same team. Firmino has looked leggy for weeks.

Yep no doubt the injury has been hampering Bobby and it has been suggested he may be fit for this game. Bench is looking like best option he has.

Think an early goal is going to be absolutely essential.

If this is still level going into the second half, panic will start to appear and edginess in the stands.

You can just see it can't you.

75 minutes, still 0 - 0. Boro have everyone including the bench and fans behind the ball (well at least that's what it'll feel like). We'll all be screaming out for a tactical change from Klopp, which won't come until the 82nd minute when he brings on Woodburn for Wijnaldum. You'll be able to physically feel the tenseness of the crowd as they try to muster chants of 'Liverpool, Liverpool' and 'Fields of Anfield Road' which will sound very half-hearted. Klopp will turn towards the fans and wave his arms about in frantic fashion to try and get some atmosphere going while the Boro fans sing 'Is this a library?'

    Or

    We'll go out and produce a dominant performance, winning 3 - 0.

not at all, I think we could aim at finding an opener at any point in the first half,

if we won't find it, our supporters will start to be soaked up by nervoussness and anxiety,

and our purpose will be more difficult in the second half with the time ongoing,

so what I fancy is a first half opener at whatever minute mark,

never mind if we start slowly as it happened over the hammers,

we have to be pretty patient and speed up our pace progressively,

a tad as we did at the London Stadium,

let's not throw at them without any sense,

Why does Lallana have to play? He has 0 goals and 0 assists in 2017. We need to score. We're playing a team that's going to park the bus. We need end product and chances created. Firmino has better end product and creates more chances than Lallana. Firmino is best as a #10, if he's fit he should start there.

I get why people would rather Firmino started over Origi, but I feel like Origi and Sturridge play best partnered with each other. The amount of criticsm Origi got after scoring a goal and hitting the bar from 30 yards, was absolutely ridiculous.

Firmino is as good - arguably better - defensively than Lallana, so I don't see how it's risky at all.

I get that he's a fan favourite but his form, pre and post injury, absolutely does not warrant a start over Firmino if that's the choice.

Just keep running with the ball into their packed 18yrd box and stick a leg out for a penno.

We are far too sporting and it's not helping us.

    So stuff it.

Firmino better than Lallana defensively? mate, you spout nonsense, the role more fitting the brazilian is the center forward spot as far as I know,

Lallana is among our forwards the one who put himself most at the service of our team,

no way I line up Firmino in not perfect physical conditions and overlook Adam Lallana from his central midfield commitment,

The problem with Firmino is he is about as reliable as the number 11 bus. Have to stick with the same team, its not as if we have any outstanding no brainer option to come in
