It is in our hands. A moment to claim a top 4 spot.

    Played 37 Won 21 Drawn 10 Lost 6 Goals scored 75 Goals Conceded 42 Points 73

In a season where we were challenging for the title, we now see ourselves within touching distance of the CL.

Off the back off a 4-0 win against West Ham, we face relegated Boro at home. After a good performance from Sturridge, should he again start at Anfield? If he is fit and ready to go again, we have to.

Coutinho also hitting top form to at the right time.

We have had our problems at home against the lesser teams this season, lets hope we can put that right in the last match of the season!

We've been SO much better away from home recently ... Anfield seems to bring a calming nervous vibe that kills the teams energy ...

We WILL win this if we play at 100 miles per hour from the off ... play like EVERYTHING is hanging in the balance as we did today.

We've been POOR since January ... but every time BIG pressure has come our way we have normally pulled out a result ... Arsenal, Spurs, Today ...

We play like that, all good.

We play casual ... Boro COULD get a point.

We will waste these by a few goals. They are awful when they have something to fight for so imagine now.

For those of you who are wondering, it is spelled Middlesbrough. ;p

What does parking the bus achieve for them? They've been relegated. Their travelling fans will not want to see a plucky 0-0. They literally have nothing to lose whilst we have everything to lose. Gestede, as **** as he is, is exactly the type of player that can cause us problems. Downing is primed to be whipping them in for him. Doubt either will start but they should.

Firmino, if fit, in for Origi but otherwise the same lineup as today should be too much for Boro.

Is Daniel Ayala fit for this one? Would be nice for him to get an appearance at Anfield before they go down.

If we don't win it, we don't deserve CL football.

It's been a brutally disappointing second half to the season. I look at the table and it was not the hardest year to do well. We may not have reached Chelsea, but we should have been very comfortable in 2nd or 3rd.

Here's hoping we can do it next Sunday.

I play the same team again to be honest. Firmino reminds me of Garcia in his level of consistency; sometimes fantastic and sometimes terrible.

    Worked for Southampton.

It achieves nothing ... but neither does getting smashed by us 4-0.

You 100% play the same team no reason to change it.

Anfield has to be bouncing there no excuse not get behind the team for them 90mins

    Just get the job done

Firmino for Origi. We'd have won even more today with Roberto.

Origi is reminiscent of David N'Gog. I'd rather have Luis Garcia over David N'Gog as a second striker.

I don't rate Origi at all but we just won 4-0 and he scored, why look for fault?

Same team as today. Firmino on to the bench.

    2-0 prediction.

Origi has 21 goals in 75 games.

    N'Gog had 18 in 94 games.

Bit of a difference there in terms of productivity.

Origi is hot and cold but he's raw yet. Best judge him when he's the finished product. Deserves one more season to show what he can be.

Same team, Firmino on the bench and Anfield raising decibels for whole 90 mins.
Be cool headed, cold and ruthless against Boro. COYR

no one shouldn't be writing middlesbrough off but we really should be keeping a clean sheet and beating them. or the other way around

    Henderson who???

    I'm sorry, I'm a terrible person.

I'll welcome Henderson back as a Squaddie with open arms next season. Who's going to yell at the linesmen as if they'd just insulted his mother, if he's not there to do it?!

I'd start Firmino over Origi, as he's probably going to be okay to play our last game, though I recognize that Origi is probably quicker than Firmino - but Firmino's movement and skill makes Origi look like a worried child introduced to ice-skating for the first time.

Coutinho stays deep. Phil's so talented (!), works hard, 6 key passes, 2 goals, 1 assist versus WH, he'd probably score goals even if he replaced Mignolet in our lineup.

Yes, I know, but it would have taken up too much space in the title!

We should play the same team that we did against West Ham, regardless if Firmino is back fit.

It was our best performance against a lower end team this calendar year!

If the crowd is up for it and we get an early goal I think we could have a great send off!

    You'd think so.

Liverpool v Boro, Arsenal v Everton and potentially Watford v Man City are the only games worth anything on the final day. Everything else is decided.

All but certainly. The only reason it wouldn't be is if Arsenal lose to Sunderland beforehand, meaning we have the top 4 sown up before we even kick a ball...however this is very unlikely and nevertheless we would still be battling Man City for third; although nowhere near as significant as the fight for top 4, with relegation and the champions already sorted.
