50m on VVD once we've sweated Southampton out a bit, they get a new manager who doesn't want an unhappy player and VVD hands in a transfer request
40m on Keita once Leipzig are told they can't be in the Champions League

Which leaves 12m for a left back.

    Robert's your father's brother.
If those were our signings in this window we would win:

    The Premier league
    FA Cup
    League Cup
    Champions League
    La Liga
    The Bundesliga
    Copa Del Rey

However, we would miss out on the DFB Pokal Cup .. I think our squad would be a little too thin for that one as well.

Think this is just clickbait to be honest but i'd be more than happy to be Aubamas 3rd choice destination!

I actually think that the way we go about things is rather impractical in the long run, which is actually ironic when you consider our approach is pretty much trying to build towards the future.

Firstly Dembele is not even a rumoured option so lets not make a 2nd level hypothetical comparison (dembele) on a first level hypothetical scenario (Auba)

But for argument's sake, let me put the correct clause:

Would you rather chose Aubemeyang to spend 4 years at liverpool at his peak time or Dembele who leaves after 1 or max 2 years of learning his trade with us ?

    1. Yes, I actually think we stand more of a chance in attracting the likes of Keita if Aubemeyang is already here, that would be a brilliant statement from the club. Keita or Van Dijk would be good signings for the club but they wouldn't make it much more attractive to other players that we are now.

I would put Keita as potentially the most transformational (given how we can get bogged down in midfield often) potentially which is why no noise on that one at all is a little disappointing.

I don't even know if Dembele has it on him to reach that level, he may but this is not going to happen, consistently for a few years. I think is a pretty levelled discussion though because we have the same chances of signing either.

I think it would the current system to a whole new level, but I don't neccesarily think him coming would mean a huge change in terms of playing style, neither I think Klopp is looking to do that.

I am not entirely sure he is interested, we have made the noise but he hasn't really said anything, neither has come from his agent either. If Leipitz doesn't to sell and he doesn't want to come then I am afraid this is not going to happen.

Yeah sadly i know exactly what you mean in the last part as even in arguments, i sense a futility of typing these words. There is no scenario in which Auba will come to us or dembele will choose another step-up club this year.

I mean Manu (with Ibra gone) and Chelsea (with Costa situation) will blow us out of water if Auba is available for starters.

Jose seems very keep on Morata though, Maybe Ronaldo now instead?!? I dont think Aubama will be going there.

No one is turning their nose up at Aub, we are just joining in with our make believe preferences. It would take a special kind of stupid to be against actually signing Aub.

If we can sign Mr Aubameyang, then that would be a signing for us.

That would say we are going to fight to sign top player's again in the transfer market.

I just dare to dream Mr Aubameyang in a red shirt come the start of the season.
Mourinho's the special one, Klopp's the normal one, I am the weird one!

Well I fir one think we should prioritise the DFB Pokal Cup! Can't think of how negative you are. Let's go for it and begger the others, I mean who wants those trophies I ask you. Onward to the DFB cup.

Indeed. I don't understand why people have decided it's a discussion that needs having.

I'd rather have Mbappe over Van Dijk, but that's not a decision anyone has to make ever.

I see neither Auba nor Dembele are going to happen,

independently of the fees they imply, the former has too much competitors looking after him,

and despite he has clearly stated of willing to play in english football, I guess he'll be prised from who will bid the best wage bill,

whilst Dembele is still to much young, and his agent will likely push to make him sign a contract extension at BVB,

we have just feeble chances on Auba, but as I said before, it'll be an unlikely deal, and not for the price tag his move would imply,

in my opinion, it's more a matter of wage demand,

for their guidelines, FSG don't push up beyond some quotas when it's all about agree a wage bill for whatever standard of footballers they attempt to put under contract,

You're right .. my apologies - I have requested of my wife that she whip me mercilessly with our cat o' nine tails this evening for my oversight (having said that, that would not really represent punishment for me, being something of a masochist )
