and they said Hilary was a warmonger. Picking fights with a volatile North Korea, now a foreign president dictates what is the capital city of a foreign country. Must be the military industrial complex needing a bit of business. Sheesh what will become of us all?

They wouldn't have done it if he wasn't going to back them up. The man is becoming more dangerous by the day. How's that impeachment process coming along?

Both sides have always claimed Jerusalem to be their capital. The fate of Jerusalem is also one of the final negotiation topics for the peace process.

It has just been expedient for Israel to have their de facto capital in Tel Aviv along with where the majority of nations choosing to have their main diplomatic mission.

If this triggers a war, I'm sure all the MAGA hat wearers will be racing down to the military recruitment offices to sign up.

What a stupid decision. For all the talk about Russian interference, very little is said about Israeli meddling and effect on Trump, especially through Kushner.

The main reason I wanted Trump to win is the US foreign policy would wind down. That got killed almost straight away when Flynn was dismissed.

Thankfully, US has surprisingly calm about North Korea so far despite the constant NK missile launches.

I'm not exactly a fan of the Palestinians (Or Israelis), but this is a stupid decision. No reason for Jerusalem to be anything political. It's a holy city, keep it like that.

Trump had a bit of a streak of bigging up the military, but unlike Hillary he was surrounded by non-interventionists from Flynn, to Bannon.

All of those people are now gone.

The next step will be Trump officially approving of Israeli settlements.

Both sides? You mean the palestinians who already had a country with Jerusalem as its capital and the others who are an occupation force?

Jerusalem belongs to its people , the palestinians , to us Arabs muslims and christians and jews , not for european imigrants

    Constant NK missile launches hey.

I wonder how many missiles the US have launched in the same period?

What an unstable uncertain time in the world we are living in. In 100 years time students will learn about the most pathetic president ever to exist. How a president took to social media creating tension between whole countries by tweeting. What a **** horrible era this is. Trump and Brexit, what a time to be alive.

Lol, you canít be serious? There have been dozens and dozens of moves, by the overwhelming majority, to stop and declare Israelís actions to be illegal and they have all been vetoed by the US. You clearly have no understanding of how the UN works.

One WH aide close to the situation, said that Trump doesn't understand the ramifications of moving the embassy and acknowledging Jersusalem as the capital. Yeah, no **** he doesn't understand.

President Qualludes couldn't even get through his speech without slurring his words. ****** sundowning president.

Franken resigning. Ball is now in the GOP's court. What will McConnell do if Moore does get elected? Also what about the President? Will he now face growing calls to step down?

Not really, because Franken chose to resign. He wasn't ousted, in fact all the Democrats adopted a "oh lets not rush to judgement, lets wait for an investigation" cop out. The GOP could do the same and it'll take years.

But yesterday we had Dem senators explicitly call for his resignation. Now Franken, may not be sorry or even think he did anything wrong, but he will resign in the coming weeks. The question is will Mitch McConnell take on Roy Moore should he win the seat?

The republican (WH anyway) defence is innocent till proven guilty and he denies the allegations. Technically that's a sound defence. I suspect all the republicans will live with the bad taste.

They seem to be at ease with that. Years of practise.

I don't think they lose an ounce of sleep if they didn't get Moore out. Politics is a horrible industry. Sadly, integrity is not a valued commodity.

The Jerusalem thing is really not that much of a surprise from American administration as a whole. They've been flirting with this for a while, since the 80s. It has come up for each sitting president, and almost all major candidate, if my memory serves me right, get asked about this and a lot give unclear answers.

The Republican, and some Democrat, neocon establishment. This move is exactly what people like Bill Kristol have wanted for a while, and Trump campaigned against those people.

To quote one US commentator: "No matter who you elect, you always get John McCain".

    Indeed.

Apparently there will be a delay on Trump signing the change of embassy location.

NASA scientists are fervently working to design a pen small enough for Trump to hold.

The RNC just dumped another 1M into the Roy Moore election fund.

They've made their choice. Trump even said in a speech "Roy Moore has the values we believe in.' They are now the party of pedophiles.
