Me neither. Even Balotelli was praised for being a 'Pro' and trained with the team until he moved on.

The only thing that I can think of is Klopp sending a message to ALL...

What's the latest on this Keita connection?
    Is it likely to happen?

It doesn't matter at this point whether we sign him. We've been front and centre in the media for a good two months and gained massive brand exposure. Job done.

Talking about his dad. He meant 'fly him out to England'

Naby Keita to fly dad to Leipzig for Champions League debut

Naby Keita has said he will fly his father in from Guinea for his Champions League debut with RB Leipzig.

Having been linked with Liverpool throughout the summer, Keita, 22, instead resumed team training at Leipzig last week, and for now appears to be set to stay in Germany for another season.

Despite suggestions Liverpool will meet his reported Ä80 million price tag, a Leipzig club source told ESPN FC this week that the German side "will not enter into negotiations at all."

The Guinea international is therefore set to make his Champions League debut with Leipzig in September, and he has already made plans to invite his dad, Sekou Keita, to the Zentralstadion for the match.

"I'll dedicate my first Champions League match to him," Keita said in German tabloid Bild. "He's never been to Leipzig, and I'll invite and gift this match to him."

Sekou Keita, a former footballer in Guinea's lower leagues, still lives in the African country's capital Conakry, and his son added that "he always believed in me."

Keita said: "He told me early on that I will play in the Champions League one day."

Klopp from an interview yesterday...think he is talking about Keita? With todays news that Keita said his Father will fly to watch him play CL and now this...

"Nothing new to say about this. Itís the transfer market. Everything is open until August 31.

"I am not easy to frustrate. Itís the transfer market. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they donít."

Just get the impression now, Keita ain't coming.

A magic number when the club said he is not for sale at any price.

I think it will have to be a number not yet invented!

news just in from a few sources is that manure may also be interested in him. Bound to get some hearts fluttering due to previous windows...however this window is not like most and I am sure Klopp can match the attraction of Mourinny and manure

As adamant you are he wont be coming some are adamant that he will be joining - whilst others have made some of our targets captain already without a pen having changed hands....

We've been pretty adept in recent years at going after a number 2 target pretty swiftly when needed - Mane was one, i think strictly speaking Salah might even be one (was Brandt number 1 target?) so the assumption is that we're either being really stupid with Keita OR there's enough encouragement from RBL to keep us in the hunt...we'll find out which I guess. Only issue for me is pre-season and if this and the VVD pursuits turn into month(s) long sagas then do we shot ourselves in the foot a bit

It seems to be a **** or bust approach. If we don't sign our top targets I think we may not sign anyone. Especially if the negotiations drag on and other potential targets move, or clubs refuse to do business as they have less time to buy replacements.

think the delay with VVD may have something to do with the long term injury he had last season maybe we are waiting to see how he does over the next week or so

still over six weeks to go there is no need to panic.
Am sure RBL and Southampton are panicking regarding there players hence reporting to the media how much they want to keep hold of their players.

Naby's agent will earn huge sums of money and he will be doing absolutely everything for this deal to happen.

VVD wants to come to LFC then he will have to hand in a transfer request and force his employers hand.

Right now we should be calm and wait until it is right time to strike.

According to Sky, Liverpool are to launch another bid for Keita before the end of the week. My money is still on Liverpool getting both Van Dijk and Keita.
