No. A good season for them would be where we start calling the big 6 the big 7

They have a good manager and a fairly large squad. After Leicester anything is possible.

Rooney back for 12 months might prove a huge distraction.
    7th at best.

all this talk about a great window and breaking into the top 6... are people serious?

after losing lukaku they will arguably be worse off than last yr. 7th at best

I actually think they've made some sensible signings so far. Pickford could be their keeper for the next 10 year's. Keane and Sandro look decent signings as well

Can they break into that top 6? They can, of course they can. Everything's got to click right into place for them to do that though, and still could lose Lukaku. I think it's going to be an interesting season for them, either way. Thanks a lot.
All Everton fans lurking in this forum and seeing this thread will now be convinced we're ******* ourselves with all the wonderous signings they're making.

Their hopes will rocket from 6th to the title thanks to you.

I'm not sure whether to be annoyed or happy with you.

Think they have strengthened the team, but still like others are mentioning decent quantity instead of really quality on a lot of the players. Changing that much isn't easy to "click" immediately either. Koeman is a good manager and they may surprise in the beginning when the excitement and energy are at a top level, but in the longer run they meet the reality ending behind the top six.

It doesnt take much to see on of the top six slide down the table. Just look at us, Chelsea or Utd in recent years.

So yea, Everton could but it would take a slip from those above them. A little like utd and Arsenal for us last year.

No. They have the EL to contend with. If they lose Lukaku they lose 20+ goals. Jagielka, Baines, Williams are all past it. Keane is an okay signing but not for 30m. Team doesn't have enough pace, Bolasie and Coleman both out until Xmas. Not enough creativity in the side. A midfield three of Gueye, Schneiderlin and Klaasen is hardly creative. Then who will they play on the wings? Miralles and *********** Aaron Lennon?

    Pickford
    Martina Keane Williams Baines
    Gueye Schneiderlin
    Klaasen
    Lennon Sandro Miralles.

Lukaku and Barkley will be sold, so maybe you could put Giroud where Sandro is and put Sandro on the right to replace Lennon and it still doesn't look good enough.

    Is this a serious post?

I thought I gave a fairly balanced view on them. It's gonna be difficult for them to break into that top 6, but not out of the question

I suggest one thread on a message board isn't gonna sway the giddiness they've been showing on Twitter and in the phones ins, ect.

Talk is Rooney will go to Everton on loan, with Man Utd still paying half his wages.

    I think that's a strange move.

I can assure you... I'm as cool as a cucumber, when it comes to Everton. I think most people can have a grown up discussion about the subject.

Imo if Mahrez plays like he did on his PL winning season and Lacazette continues to score as many as he has then i think they will be.

Been having this out with my mate who's a die hard blue. Basically this money they supposedly now have has come a few years late. Everyone is minted now pretty much and for me the gap between them and the top 6 is bigger then the gap between them and the bottom 13.

Basically, no matter how good they think there signings are, the top 6 will strengthen as much if not more so they don't have a hope in hell in my opinion.

Agree they are doing what we was doing years back, hopefully the rumors are true i.e. Keita VVD, we have alteast reached similar levels to the top 6 at just the right time if we sign them.

Nope i think the targets you hear most about is all of it, Keita, VVD, Ox, Robertson. Then if a striker leaves then maybe another striker.
