I wouldn't either , and until we land our top targets I'll be sceptical because of fsgs past here , the problem being altnertives to our prime targets are few in number and decreasing by the day. I'm less hopeful of a successful window the longer it goes on, esp as klopp always wanted business done early at Dortmund so players would adapt to his methods. It's not late but we need whoever we sign in soon , and fsg need to make sure it gets done as it's them who are under scrutiny this window
sorry have to disagree there. if the club was not ambitious they would already have a number of players in already. going for those that will inevitably cost more, both in fee and wages shows ambition. the hard part for any club is to pull them off. take a peek at chelsea struggling to get players in, are they showing a lack of ambition.

Yeah but Can had already demonstrated he had the tactical nouse by playing CB, RB and even LB under Brendan.

A front two of Rooney and Benteke

Think I could live with that.

Rooney's only there for his family imo, wants his lads back in Liverpool and his Mrs no doubt was pecking his head for the move.

Think it's a bit cheeky really spending your best years at UTD an coming back when you're half the player. He's still got quality no doubt but without that yard of pace he's not the animal he once was. I wish him nothing but failure there!

Actually think he'd do quite well for them.

Rooney and Benteke wouldn't be the most mobile forward line...to say the least!

Everton make a 40m bid for Gylfi. Turned down apparently. Salah looks relatively cheap by comparison.

Lukaku was probably less mobile with a worse first touch as well.

Gylfi is a good player but apparently Everton will come back with a bigger offer. Crazy!

With all these new midfielders, Barkley is definitely off.

Everton fans are drunk with giddiness at the moment. They really think they have an owner like Chelsea or City. The fact is John Henry is richer than their owner. Don't let the facts get in the way of pure delusion, though.

They've taken a late 1-2 lead against a tricky Kenyan outfit, they're on their way.

Since buying the club all he's done is supplied them with an 80m loan to clear the debt, signed up for a 40 year lease on a stadium and plot of land they dont have funding for yet and asked the Chinese to give them a 60m overdraft facility to buy players with. He bought 49.9% of the club for 200m and some thick Everton fans tried to tell me they could use that 200m to buy players hahaha.

A potential 80 odd mil on Sigurdsson, Bolasie and Schneiderlin, jesus christ. Considering the ages of them 3 makes it that bit worse aswell.

Martina from Saints, just adds to their dire transfer window.
