He's very clever also, has some lovely touches and his runs are great, not just into any old space but into areas which hurt teams.

Can't see him getting too much game time the season but defo looks a great prospect

Didn't watch the Wigan match but did he touch the ball?

I watched the game, and I can just tell you he was deployed on the right hand side of our attacking front,

out of his natural position, he was very little involved in threatening offensive moves 'cause he couldn't simply get in behind the opposing defenders,

out of his natural position, we could deem him totally unratable, he touched very few balls as he was lined up in the second half,

the bloke has to be reviewed in future tests when Mr Klopp deciding to use Dom as a lone center forward,

by the way, the talent is there,

He showed for more knockdowns to get us moving in attack than Sturridge or Origi did.

Apart from that we didn't see much of him.

This guy is going to be huge - exceptionally good bit of business. Regardless of the goals he scores, you just have to look at his physical attributes to know this guy is the next big thing.

I'd like to see Dom with Mane and Salah flanking him in a pre-season game. Im impressed by him.

Will probably be challenging Origi for game time as opposed to Firmino & Sturridge.

Big season coming up for Origi, probably make or break.

Btw...where does Woodburn fit in all of this? Obvious that Klopp likes him but from the little I've seen of him I can't figure out what his position is..striker, 10, wide ???

Is there room for him and Origi in the Squad if we are sticking with 1 up front?

Woodburn doesn't seem suited as a striker at Prem level. Looks like he is going to be in the midfield.

    stunning finish,

he played in combination with Divock Origi, and took out several interesting things,

I'm starting to love this player, but frankly I fell in love with him already at the last U20 World Championship,

he's a footballer with a refined closed control, searing pace, and he likes getting in behind defenders and find space to conclude in the last twenty metres,

particularly just off the edge of the box,

as I said many times beforehand, we will hear many times to knock about him throughout this pre-season and season,

3m fixed by the tribunal for him are gonna turn out a real bargain after what he let foresee in this first stint of pre-season!

our scouting team really hit the mark this time around!

Just how stupid are Chelsea going to look if this lad starts tearing it up next season?

Chelsea's longest-serving professional player is Matej Delac.

He's been loaned out nine times and never made an appearance for Chelsea.

pretty soon he should be due a testimonial.

Woodburn is featuring out of his natural position latterly,

and he's turning in our only negative note to outline after these first three run outs,

    I feel for him,

Origi and his 12 touches gets a pass for me. Rather Solanke at this stage, based off the fact you already know what you get with Origi. Solanke still has an unpredictability factor.

Yeah, I tend to agree...obviously a talented player but I just don't see where he fits in or will get much game time once the real action starts.

if a blues striker doesn't knock back more than 70m, they don't make him play in their team, it's a plastic phylosophy!

Chelsea follow the get rich quick scheme of buying proven quality and have no interest in building for the future - this model has worked for the last 15 years, but with less world class talent coming through the ranks, and the increasingly vast distribution of established quality across clubs with equal buying power, this model is surely set to suffer and the wise decision (not only footballing, but financial) would be to build a proper foundation and prepare for the next five years, like the good old days.

Every top team has money these days - there's no such thing as buying the league. We should be overjoyed to have Klopp at the helm in these times.

Their academy is also ridiculously packed full of talent too. The more we can poach from them the better imo.

    Disagree entirely

I think the lad has stood out in pre-season as a very talented footballer.

Exactly, this batch coming through dominated youth football. Solanke, chalobah and Ake are huge talents and all have just left for hardly anything bar the money for Ake. I wouldn't have minded us looking at chalobah and Ake.
