Lazio- but I guess nothing is official until is confirmed on this website.

I hope it doesn't happen to be honest

It's a decent signing for Lazio.

I read the article on Skysports.com,

    it seems true,

probably Lucas has recently foreseen that it's time to move on and open a new chapter of his football career somewhere else looks a natural consequence,

hopefully, tonight he will still make part of the team facing Wigan at least for a half, and our supporters will bid him a due tribute and farewell for ten years

of honored service at our club,

I'm sad and embittered to see one of our last midfield mainstays say goodbye and depart for another country and club, but that's it!

as a sign of respect, I want to thank Lucas for all he did for our club in these ten years of honourable LFC career,

he gave all for the shirt, and often put the body on the line for the team, he will be missed humanly and technically as any past Legend which left this club,

we won't forget you and your beautiful family, Lucas!

good luck for your future career in Italy, lad, you'll be able to make love yourself even there,

    as always, remember that:

One Day a Red, Forever a Red,

    You'll Never Walk Alone Lucas!

    Some much needed balance needed.

A bang average and mediocre player who had been here 4 seasons too long has finally gone.

No need to go on about him like he was the second coming of Souness.

    Didn't see a thread yet,

Just want to wish him all the best, I know he had his ups and downs but he gave everything for the cause.

A true professional, role model and a fantastic servant to the club.

    You'll be missed Lucas.

    YNWA
    That's the opening post.

There's nothing wrong with that context nor wishing the lad all the best ....

It's not balance when there is hardly anything in this thread going on about him like the 2nd coming of Souness at all.

Just a brilliant servant of this club who's been here for a decade and for all of that had people like you on his back from day one but has never been disrespectful once in that whole time and given his tripe for the shirt when called upon.

Nothing wrong with thanking him for his service to the club and wishing him well for the future.

you are ungrateful toward one of our last decade honorable servants,

He'll do very well for them at DM.

Sad to see him go and now I have to buy a Hendo shirt as I always have one named from the current team. Lucas = BOSS!

Gany doesn't even do a good job at that as he's been surpassed by the likes of AngriestRed.

hope he stays, wish him good luck if he decides to go.

He was never the best player at the club but he always had the heart and desire for the club to do its best.

Proper Scouser I would say, even if he was born halfway around the world.

The warm praise and affection he gets from the fans and club as he leaves will be fully deserved. As he says himself he is now 51% Brazilian & 49% Scouser. He has been a great servant to the club and his positivity and grit will be missed on and off the pitch. All the very best to a top man. Lucky Lazio.

if he has already decided to go, he'll go, likely time to move on and face another challenge,

    Better ask Harry Enfield.

If this is the end for Lucas I wish him all the very best, one of my most favourite players at Liverpool in the past 10 years or so.

No-one is doing that, Gany, nor would they.

However, when a player has been at the club for 10 years and, in that time, has never given one second of trouble, has never said anything about the fact that at times he was no more then a bit part player (and in this day and age that is rare) and - perhaps most importantly of all - absolutely loves the club and the city and has always worn the shirt with pride, he deserves nothing but respect for that. For you to come in here and post 'I won't miss him' - irrespective of whether that is true or not - is actually quite low, imo. Sometimes it is better to just avoid a thread rather then come in and say something like that, it is just not necessary.

Lucas was decent. He was never particularly outstanding in any attribute, but at least he worked hard and was proud to wear the shirt. Not a brilliant player but time to wish him well and move on.

He was on his way to be absolutely brilliant before his injury-worries. Our player of the season in 10/11 and arguably the best DM in the league in 2011.

absolutely, he has earned the right to decide his own future as far as I'm concerned.
