Looks like it, dissapointed because he's been great and loves the club and city but for his career and where we are going as a team it's the right thing.

Good luck Lucas , you will always be welcome here in Liverpool

Another way to look at it

    Mane firmino salah 90m
    Vvd 70m

No matter how you dress it up it's a ridiculous sum of money. There is no guarantee that he'll come here and justify that price tag, or remain injury free. I know you can say that about every player you sign but we don't sign 70mil players everyday, actually we never do!

Would like to see him play in the prem and if Rafa wants him he should match the offer.

I quite liked Alun Evans. He scored some good goals. Wasn't he the "most expensive teenager" when we bought him from Wolves?

Yes he was and I remember him scoring on his debut at Anfield. Then the following week went to....wolves or villa, can't remember which even tho' I was there! And scored again! I thought he was going to be great. Didn't quite happen for him.

He's great going forward but I just don't think his defensive work is good enough.

When you compare that price to Lindelof (£31m), Bonucci (£29m) and Rudiger (£34m) you do have to assess whether that is a little too expensive.

If we could perhaps strike a deal of £40m plus Mamadou Sakho that would make it easier to stomach... just.
Well Bonucci is already 30 and if Lindeloff and Rudiger flopp in the premier league, like many good defenders do, it will be irrelevant what they cost.

Didn't he get a very bad hand injury?

Looked like he was going to be phenomenal when he first came, but as you say, it somehow went south pretty quickly. Probably to do with the pressure.

Jesus is his go to striker and it's entirely possible that Sanchez will go there as well.

#LFC won’t allow Brannagan to go on loan without signing a new contract, given he has just 11 months remaining on his current deal.

Aguero would massively improve chelsea though and Pep must know that even if he doesnt want to keep him himself.

It might be that he rates Sanchez more highly or thinks he's more reliable. He's certainly injured less frequently.

True. Im just saying i dont think Lindeloff is very proven,so it makes sense hes cheaper. Not sure about Rudiger but by most accounts Manolas was the better defender.

Yep, my only concern with VVD is the injury he had but we have to assume LFC is comfortable that it's not an issue.

Why can't we go for Aguero it would be like having a variation of Suarez back and would definitely kick Sturridge up the hole to get competitive like he did with Suarez. Different style of football I guess but the more game changers we have the better imo.
Justifying 70 mill for a striker like him or midfielder like Keita or CB like VVD is insignificant in comparison to the money that a league win would generate so just get ambitious and go get the player needed to take us there finally.
