Just think Klopp see's him as a special talent and we'll probably stick with what we have if we don't get him.

It's just my opinion. They are quite different.

VVD is desperate to come to Liverpool and plays for a club without Champions League and who aren't particualrly rich.

Keita supposedly wants to come to Liverpool but there are reports saying he is happy to stay at a club with champions League football and don't need the money.

I'm not saying Keita won't happen just that it will be a lot harder to pull off then VVD.

Yeah I think it may be another target, like Aubameyang, who can make an impact during the game, but when people talk of alternatives, I think they are thinking midfielders, which may not be the case.

    I think.

They both look difficult deals, I can't see how anyone can have a firm belief either way in reality of these deals happening or not.

Could go on well into August with panicked or over excited reactions to any bit of gossip.

Meh. We wait a year, get him for 20m less and he's played a second full season at the top level - developing further.

    Their loss.

Although there is no current alternative to Keita, Klopp has admitted at some stage Liverpool may have to look at a Plan B if top targets can't be landed.

Its all possible. Its more likely doing that than doing nothing, Klopp said.
There is the quote from Klopp suggesting it's more likely they will sign another player rather than sign nobody. A manager cannot keep missing his targets and then deciding not to sign anyone. He will understand he needs to sign players.

Only problem with that is all the superclubs will be after him too.

You think we are going to be more attractive than Real, Barca, Bayern etc.?

I agree with you, but I honestly don't think we'll see an alternative to Keita. The alternative will probably be keeping Can for another year.

No but if we have a good season we have a foot in the door already and there's every chance he'd still come here.

The question is really can we wait for him and still have a good season?
