@Eurosport_DE: #RBLeipzig reject #Liverpool record offer out-of-hand. Having expected 3 bids, they now consider the matter closed.

Throw in one more bid. They'll be so disorientated with the 4th bid that they'll accept in a daze!

Seriously, there is nothing in it. This is the story on their ticker which translates as the English paper, the Mirror claim we will make a 3rd bid of 80m.

Sky Germany tweeted the headline to draw attention to it as they do. Now watch loads of itks and the rags claiming Sky Germany have reported a bid

    10:27

    Oli putting out fires.

I reckon a next bid would be at least €85m, and if we are really going nuts with this it might be that we bid €90m straight off.

No. We've offered what the player is worth (and probably a bit more).

If that's not enough, then it makes no business sense to pay over the odds.

And if the lad wants to come next year at a sensible price, great.

So what do we do in the meantime? Sign someone else, or make do?

Time to bundle the red bull guy in to the back of a transit and take him for a long drive.

The myth of how good he is grows the more RB refuses to sell him.Its like something untainble the more you can't have it the more you feel its all you need to make you happy in life

To quote Ghost Busters you're talking Biblical Proportions with a bid like that

Klopp would have to be suffering some form of God Complex to put a bid like that in

If you're asking me, if Kovacic is available I'd put a bid in for him - I think he's excellent, still only 23, bags of experience. And I really like Seri at Nice.

But if Klopp and the club don't think they're a significant improvement on what we've got, I'd rather wait than chuck money around for more of the same in our squad.

    More chances for Woodburn?

Joyce said there was an alternative to Keita. He didn't name any names.

There's Woodburn and Grujic but neither of them can play deeper. The beauty of Keita is he does it all.

I think Wijnaldum could be tried there.

Either for Keita to be available at a sensible price next year or, if he ends up somewhere else, for the player Klopp thinks is right.

We'll also have Allan at the club next season. He seems to be developing into a very decent deep-lying playmaker the few times I've seen him play.

Naby Keita is probably on no more than €20k PW in Germany and we're offering £135,000 PW.
So he either signs for us or RB Leipzig offer him a similar salary which will then encourage other star players such as Timo Werner & Emil Forsberg to demand similar pay-packets. They also run the risk of not being able to attract new players if they're unwilling to release them from their contracts when the big boys come calling.

So from a business perspective it is in their best interest to sell.
