Haven't come across that one, but in similar vein I get a bit peeved at things being called 'bad boys' for some obscure reason.

A cook refers to some sausages as 'these bad boys'… and so on.

    Silly.

Can I add using the word 'daddy' as a colourful term to that - when people say things like 'the daddy of all...blah blah' ; I'm the daddy; who's your daddy...

I now hate when my kids call me daddy. 'dad' is OK. Or papa!

After reading Will Self's 'Great Apes' my son took to addressing me as 'Alpha Male.'

    Fortunately, the habit didn't last.

I thought getting a punchbag or batman toys was exciting. Seems all along I was being deprived of real joy at Christmas, I know what I'm getting my son this year now though.

I wanted to be Naseem Hamed.

Loved having a punchbag and boxing gloves, me, my brothers and our friends spent many hours lowering our IQ's with that equipment.

Ha! To qualify, before the new sofas we made do with an old single bed pushed against the wall with cushions! At least it wasnt garden furniture..

If i remember right, we also had a newer, bigger, radio rentals TV that Christmas!

Watermelon seeds. I mean - I used to de-seed but they seem to have more seeds nowadays and smaller and more insidious. I now resort to just eating the seeds but it ruins my enjoyment. I'm sure eating watermelon seeds must be bad (and not in the old 'a watermelon are will grow in your tummy' horror story)

    Fear not…

Like chia and flax seeds, watermelon seeds contain nutrients such as vitamin B, potassium, magnesium, and zinc, which studies have linked with various health benefits. They are also a good source of healthy fats and protein. ... And after that, you can eat them as a healthy snack.
