MON will reluctantly bring on Hoolahan with 10 or 15 minutes to go, and we'll look immediately better, and may score.

    Rinse and repeat.

O'Neill is a horrible manager, so negative and 'old school'. Defend deep and hit long balls. Awful to watch.

    It's *********** torture.

No doubt he'll be delighted with his draw, and tell us we should be too.

MON saying a draw might've been acceptable prior. Classic.

It's pretty funny, though, that Liam Brady is slating MON for not using Hoolahan, yet his man Trap was the exact same, and worse tbh.

    Wales 1 - Austria 0

Poor FredCanuck… Woodburn got the goal, but Austria lost the game.

He must be ever so torn, emotionally.

Isco was quality. Saunders was right, we should have sold Coutino and signed Isco for £30m.

Woodburn scoring a big goal for Wales last night, and a nice goal too!

It really was. And less than 5 minutes after coming on. Really pleased for him.

My bad, still impressive considering it was his debut as well.

So many rate him though, based on finishing what 8th a couple of times with Leicester when finishing 8th is nothing fantastic, it's just finishing "best of the rest" standard, a couple of League Cup finals in the days spudz were reaching finals, no one else was interested, and they beat TRANMERE in the final (non-league now ain't they..?)

And of course not forgetting the Celtic factor, a role capable of making any Joe average look better than average, well to some anyway.

Brilliant finish, Wales rather more than fortunate to get the win. Watching Austria all over them for most of the game and then seeing them celebrate was a little embarrassing, well watching Coleman anyway

I know youtube highlight videos can overstate how good a player performed but considering he was only on the pitch 20 minutes it looks like Woodburn also did very well apart from the goal.

Embarrassing to celebrate a big win just because they were outplayed?

I guess you didn't celebrate 'the Owen final' or Istanbul?

Indeed, could be his breakout moment. Thought he looked better playing CM for us in preseason.

Was a bit of a heartbreaker for me personally. But the Austrian coach is totally out of his depth. He introduces our best striker in the 81th minute of a must win, or at least can't lose game with 1-0 down. Wtf? With this loss the qualification is out of reach and he'll be replaced by the end of the year. Guaranteed.
