It does raise questions. Then again, Arsenal have been playing Sanchez. I guess it makes no odds to them. They're also fighting for CL places, so if he picks up a knock and we wait until the summer, it probably works out better for them. (watching the game; he's just been studded in the thigh)

Whatever happens, I’d say clubs will have seen enough of these deals that see players moving the next year, to think twice about their sense, especially with big transfers like this, or 'dream moves'. He’s been a nuisance it seems for the whole season, they can’t be happy with him, and it can’t have helped their season.

Re: Sanchez- for the life of me I can’t understand why Arsenal would’ve come this far with holding him only to sell him now. And with them battling for top 4, even European football at all. Surely he’s the key to that and worth whatever money they might make off him now.

We have nothing like him in the midfield at the moment. Defensively he's solid. He's actually played most of his games as a defensive midfielder this season. However, his best position is at central midfield, as a box to box man. He's very forward thinking, with a quick mind, and his dribbling is extremely impressive.

His dribbling stats show that he averages 3.9 dribbles a game. Keep in mind that Salah is only at 2.6, and dribbling master that is Hazard is at something like 4.4.

    He's a top player.
Is that right? I thought Demme was the player that normally played the holding role?

    Then he goes and scores.

Double pivet, I believe. Having said that I'm watching the game now, and he seems to fluctuate from playing attack to dropping deep, and playing the defensive midfielder. He's just scored, in fact.

Dont think they are true. Just watched him play and he was subbed mid way through the second half [subbed more than likely to save him being sent off again] and he did not look like a player on the brink of a move, no wave good by etc.

According to Chris Williams, a football journalist based in Germany and he is quite reliable - "Information from within Leipzig this evening that Naby Keita will become a Liverpool player on Sunday"

Think he went on to say this was his final game.

And that's what worries me Dave. Posted something similar myself a few days ago. He's absolutely no good whatsoever here if he's gong to be a liability with yellow and red cards. Lot's will say JK will sort him. I hope so.

We need a bit of that, we're too nice. Can't wait to have a bit of fight in the midfield again, even if it does mean yellows and the occasional red.

Friday - was told Leipzig had not convinced Keita to buy into the rest of the season, were tired by his lack of motivation and agreed to his request to move ASAP. Caveat was S04 fixture was to be played.

But surely you'll agree his recent disciplinary record with RBL is no good? We have bought him to play for us, not sit in the stands every so often.

Genuinely doesn't bother me one bit. What he brings to the midfield more than makes up for it. Again, I like that he has a bit of aggression in him, we need it.

Not much good if we find ourselves playing with 10 men and losing points

How often do you expect him to get sent off?

Only had 5 yellows too...which is comparable, or lower, to most combative PL midfielders.

Sounds like RB wanted a lot of money and Liverpool said NO.

That should have been FSG attitude with Coutinho.

Put in a short simple statement saying that Coutinho is not leaving this January.

We’ve got more to play for than Leipzig and yet we allowed Barcelona and Coutinho to bullied us.

Coutinho would have never gone on a strike and risk missing the World Cup.

Klopp said that he felt Phil wasn't going to give him 100%.
He wouldn't have gone on strike, but he wouldn't have given 100% either.
The club wasn't bullied, Klopp made a decision based on what he saw.

Trust Klopp's judgment on this. He sees the player everyday.

He'll be cup tied in the Champions League won't he, not sure that's a great timing of the move, although he may well end up with a winners medal for La Liga and only potentially half earned it.

Frankly they're welcome to him, crying over lost Brazilians is not going to get him back and speculating over how we could have stopped him going even if only temporarily is equally not going to get him back.

Like others who've left before him, he's moved on and so should we. Phil who..........?

So he’s staying until the end of the season. It was obvious really. I mean, who lets their best player leave, mid season, when you’re fighting for a CL place.... couldn’t help myself 😁

Feeder clubs but that would probably make the clubs followers become annoyed
