    Couple of oddities.

Jones and Brannagan are registered, the former as a senior and the latter as a junior player. Yet Jones is not listed on the first team squad and Brannagan was removed from it.

Good to see Wilson still floating about in the shadows
Hope he gets a crack at it this season even if only in the domestic cups

Something can't be right with this. We only have 1 club trained senior player in Flanagan, so we can only register 22 including Grujic and Solanke plus the youngsters. That's 22 without Grujic and Solanke.

    Is Ward not CT?

    What about TAA?

Tbh, I don't really know the details for qualifying as CT?

    ..Maybe 'senior' is the key..

TAA is young enough to still be on the B list. In time he'll be one.

As I recall you have to have been at the club at least 2 consecutive years before your 21st birthday - if you don't meet that criteria then even 20/21 year olds need to be registered on the A list.

So, Gomez will eventually qualify as CT so he goes on the B list, Solanke and Grujic won't so they have to be registered as senior players, albeit Solanke could count towards our HG quota.

Cheers, yeah I kinda figured it out after the fact.

It sounds a bit farcical tbh, if Gomez could qualify as CT.

I don't know - theoretically he could have been in our European squad for 4 years before he'd need to be registered as a senior player. By that measure it would seem unreasonable if he didn't qualify.

Could be. It's a bit tricky because his birthday is June 22. So if the end of the season is regarded as the last match of the 2013/14 season, then he's eligible.

Gomez' situation is similar to Ward's. It depends on what date is used.

Is it not dob? I thought your 19th birthday was the cutoff?

I know that in terms of senior/junior it's your age on 1st January in the year the season starts, but for this I thought it was more straightforward?

It says 3 years before the end of the season in which the player turns 21. Both Ward and Gomez are born after the day a season usually ends (June 22 and May 23 respectively). So by that logic, the season coming up still counts as another year. If so, Ward is eligible and Gomez will be.

I was nearly right. Its actually 3 consecutive years between the ages of 15-21, but Gomez gets on the B list for now by being born after 1/1/95 and having been here for 2 years.

We signed him about 5 weeks after his 18th birthday - not sure how that will be considered, but by my understanding he just misses out.

You do realize that this is a year old article. So the date is 1/1/96 for this year.

This is a excerpt from the regulations.

A "club-trained player" is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the start of the
season during which he turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during which
he turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality and age, has been registered with
his current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons (i.e. a
period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship
and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship) or
    of 36 months.
So in Ward's case (dob June 22/93, turned 21 on June 22/14), is the end of the season the end of 2013/14 or 2014/15? If it's the former, he's not eligible. If it's the latter, he is.

Yeah, looking again I think it's 3 full seasons (first league game-last) before their 21st birthday - Gomez should be good, but Ward won't having signed in January and turning 19 that summer.

It's before the end of the season in which they turn 21. So if the last official match is the point then Ward is eligible as the whole of the 2014/15 season would count.

Ings missed out. Is that it? Just 22 there - so Grujic, Solanke and Ward all counted but none as CT?

    Wait - no Clyne either?

They are junior players. That list can be altered any time during the season. So there's no need.
