Fair enough, surely Gerrard on his own is enough to dispel that silly 'argument' anyway.

its well known that the front 3 interchange at will.
but so do the midfield at times yesterday couhtinio was our deepest midfielder this set up is wrong, the midfield has to be more disciplined.
emre can is either the solution or the problem, klopp needs to give him a job that suits his ability,he does not have the pace or creativity of couhtinio/Lallana or even hendo but he is physicaly strong and in Germany is used more defensively,he needs the discipline to sit back and make a back 3,helping break down counter attacks, winning the ball and giving it,late on in matches were we need a goal he could be instructed to push forward.

against teams that park bus 4 3 3

    Lallana/hendo or winaldum------can----couhtinio

    against the better teams 4 2 1 3

can---hendo(emre to sit and hendo to push forward

    coutinio.

we might have a lot of possession but we don't control games,we play like a kids team with up to 8 players pushing forward.
I think klopp has been found out and managers are starting to expose our style of play.last season big sam said he liked to use the space behind our fullbacks because they push so high up,with emre can sitting back the cb can split and emre can play central.

but the question is will klopp change and is emre can willing to play this role, keep him happy make him captain.

you ask a very good question in my opinion. A decade ago Milan used to play a feared christmas tree 4321 with kaká and seedorf partnered in midfield/attacking midfield. I think Can needs to move to another club to find a central midfield partner, or I don't think he will for-fill his full potential.

Emre Can has told kicker that it was an "honour" to receive an offer from Juventus in the summer but insists he is solely focused on Liverpool this season.

Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta is reported to have said that the Italian champions had an offer for Can, 23, rejected by Liverpool in the recent transfer window.

The midfielder's Liverpool contract expires in the summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp admitting in August that the lack of a new deal for the Germany international was "not perfect."

Can said: "It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest.

"The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues."

Emre Can scored twice for Liverpool against Hoffenheim
Emre Can's Liverpool contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
Asked if it was possible that both he and Klopp could be at Bayern next season, he replied: "You never know what will happen. And I don't know what Jurgen Klopp plans."

Can, who scored his first goal for goal for Germany on Sunday, has made nine appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring on two occasions.

    Bye bye Can 👋👋

Gerrard-esque. He had one a few minutes before that was from about the same distance and the GK just tipped it over, strange he doesn't bang in many long rangers for us because he's definitely capable.

Just some vague quotes from him talking about Juve interest. Open for interpretation either way.

He'd not get into Juve's current midfield as it stands, so who cares if he wants away.

If this were true, Klopp would send him with his bags packed the same day.

Looks like he's off or he would have signed a contract by now, shame really as he's got a lot of potential but a bit hit and miss at the moment.

Frustrated by his consistency. One day he is a world beater, another day he is Jordan Henderson.

He doesn't speak about his contract does he? Or there is no real clues that he will sign a new contract.

If he goes for free, I would call that a bit of a screw up.

I hope he stays, I much prefer him to Henderson, for me he needs to find consistency to add to undoubted talent.

Mate, if we lose both Coutinho and Can next summer, I would be concerned. That isn't progress in my opinion.

I'd be gutted, it would be like ground hog day again, just when you think we are making progress we start all over again.

Better hope Keita hits the ground running like his mate Mane! Who I see as Can's replacement.

Coutinho, that's a different matter. He is one of the best in the world. You don't replace those types.
