Not here long enough to be rated, and like all players deserves a chance to prove himself.

Saying that, it must be one of the most bizarre signings we've ever made and at £35m a ****** expensive one.

Like most others on here, I fail to see where he fits in or how he is an upgrade on what we already have. Once Mane & Lallana come back into to fold does Ox even warrant a place on the bench?

Of course we'll have more injuries, suspensions, and absences to deal with over the season and I guess he adds depth and options in those scenarios. As for him wanting to play CM...forget it.

Obviously Klopp has plans for him and we'll have to wait and see how it goes. But initial impressions of his overall value to the squad are not positive for me.

    Milner

    Attack Midfield
    Coutinho
    Lallana

    Wingers
    Mane
    Salah
    AOC

    Forwards
    Firmino
    Sturridge
    Solanke
    Ings

Even having him on the bench will hamper Woodburns and others progression and that's my biggest gripe about it all, lot of money spent when imo our kids are better or will be with first team experience.

We've got some great kids coming through and I would have preferred the likes of Woodburn, Kent, Ejaria, Ojo, Wilson getting cameo minutes instead of AOC.
I said Lallana at this moment can replace Wijn. Woodburn is also vying with Couts and Lallana and in my eyes Ox is a pacey option out wide covering Mane and Salah. Please name who can do that mate. That in itself says why he's needed. There is no way the kids you mentioned should be anywhere near the bench

To think we could have gotten Lemar... Talk about a gulf in quality.

Huge gulf in quality and whoever lands him is going to have a player on their hands, hopefully it's not Arsenal as we would have paid half for him, unfortunately.

Very amusing reading some writing him off. He just got here and has barely played. Far far too soon to judge.

I can only guess he's been signed for central defence or as a goalkeeper, as he is certainly not a CM and he won't get on that wing anytime soon.

This signing is going to haunt us as a very expensive unnecessary dud.

He's been around for years at Arsenal. We all know what he's about.

Big guy who can run fast into dead ends.

Wonder if we have a 30 day money back no questions asked option on this - the greatest of panic/appease the fans because we didn't get Keita or VVD in buys

Poor. But he's only started so happy to be proven wrong in time. Wasn't happy with the signing to be begin with.

Can we cut one of his legs off and tell Arsenal that they delivered him like that and we want our money back?

Yeah but until last Tuesday night, Klopp was happy with our defence.

No, it just gives you 6-8 more years of dead ends to run into.

On your LFC membership? I hope so. You should definitely take up that option.

It's all good Cull - Eddie Howe will take him off our hands in a year or so for £20m

The whole Ox deal smacks of the idiots in charge at LFC spending for the sake of placating the fans due to the ineptitude displayed so gloriously in the pursuit of VVD

Wouldn't have signed him but don't mind him as an option out wide

    1) You don't pay £35m for squad players with a year left on their deal

    2) £35m would have gotten us a centre back that would have walked in to our side and improved us hugely. Furthermore, the centre back in question (Sanchez) would have been *********** IDEAL to partner Van Dijk if we ever sign him.
    I can see this.

    You can see this.

The whole planet earth can see this.

The only people who apparently can't see this are Edwards, Gordon and Klopp unfortunately

We should have spent the money on a decent defensive midfielder - N'zonzi from Sevilla for example to replace Lucas,

Well his problems are getting to him now so I wouldn't be surprised if he rectified this in January. Van Dijk and another.

If he lets this drag on all season it'll be the first nail in his coffin.
Klopp will buy another attacking midfielder in January
