More like ridiculous overreaction to not winning a string of matches we should have comfortably won based on performance. Of course the fingers are being pointed at the wrong end of the pitch but the Lovren hatred is strong around here...

It might have been under Rodgers.
That formation change turned our season around and nearly got us into the top four, but then we lost at home to Manchester United and it was scrapped, our season took a nosedive after that where we only managed to beat QPR and Newcastle (who were **** poor). Maybe we should've kept hold of Lucas but I guess Klopp must've thought he'd get Keita in the summer, Lucas usually played well in the big games at home.

Many people should have been let go before Lucas in my opinion. Lucas wasn't a starter but he was a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room, he could play at both CB and CDM and you know that when given the chance to play he'd leave it all out there. Obviously if he wanted a guarantee of more minutes on the pitch then we didn't have a choice, we had to let him leave, but I think he's more effective at CB than Klavan and better in midfield than both Milner and Henderson. Hopefully we can get in another CM, other than Keita, next summer.

I was a big fan of Lucas and at times on here and at times over the years felt like his only supporter, but the mistake was not letting him go, the mistake was not replacing him.

A transfer peephole rather than a transfer window. Good idea or not?

Despite the standard of Maribor, Milner put in a massive, massive positive shift on Tuesday. Henderson could not have missed it. MOM for me.

Absolutely right. Milner was easily MOM. People will no doubt pan me for this but Henderson has not delivered. He adds no dynamic to the team and is a bench player at best.
You know what you get with Milner. He is a very forward-thinking player and wherever possible the ball goes forward. He was a brilliant signing. He'll never have his name in lights because of idiots who think football is just about mad skills and your name ending in "O." But for me, there's no doubt he'd not only be a mainstay in our midfield, he'd also be captain.

Milner was very good...but he was playing in Can's normal position...not Henderson's.

    This I agree with.

Milner is suited to marshalling in front of the back four which he did brilliantly on Tuesday. He however should NOT by any means be played in the back four.

    You've just disagreed...not agreed.

Milner wasn't marshalling in front of the back 4...Can was.

Milner was the one driving us forward.

All I was saying was if you play Milner you take out Henderson, who doesn't do anything particularly well at the moment. If that means Can playing the holding role then fine. Henderson is not up to it.

Well he didn't mention Pogba, Rooney or Bobby Charlton, so I guess it's progress?

Maybe. I can at least understand the references to United as attempts at humour, I don't get the drivel he posts about us at all.

    I can’t fight funny tbf.

And you have to admire someone who has Alan Hansen and Graeme Souness in the top 10 footballers of all time, with Kenny Dalglish as no 1.

Each to their own I guess, but there's only so many times I can hear '90m wheelie bin' in every post before it gets stale. And I've lost count how many times I've heard about Bobby Charlton's mum.
