Worried for Wales this week, we stole a march on ROI with Woodburns magic, but with the Bale injury news...its a big blow starting with Georgia away Friday

My three brothers fell out with me as I watched the end of the Wales match when Woodburn came on instead of the Ireland match.

I hate International football and i'd gladly see Ireland get hammered by Wales if it mean Woodburn playing well.

So if Roy Keane didn't behave like Roy Keane at the 2002 World Cup and Ireland reached the final, you'd be happy if they lost if it meant he scored the winning own goal in the 90th minute

    Eh?

    You've completely missed my point.

Roy Keane didn't play for Liverpool.

No he played for Man Utd, so if you want to see players at your club do well on International duty, even at the expense of your own country making the World Cup, then it stands to reason you would want to see players for our rivals do crap on International duty, even if it's at your own countries expense.

Aye, tough fixture and his absence boosts any opponent

Hoping Ramsey steps up in his absence, he's done well in Wales shirt so we'll need a massive performance from him Friday

Tranmere win 2-1. Having a terrible season but that's back to back wins for them now.

Tranmere win 2-1, they move up to 14th in a very tight league.

Come from behind victory for Tranmere.

Orient less then 200 fans. If they get drawn at Anfield or Goodison in the cup, them fans deserve to go most. More then the "I can't make away games" fans who will want to go to the game despite it being an away game.

Everyone in that league is having a terrible season, something like 5 points between top of the league and bottom half of the table. Two wins and you can go for relegation fighters to title contenders, two defeats and you can go from talking of promotion to talk of relegation.

Tranmere are 8 clear of the final relegation place and 7 behind the final play off position of 7th.

Brilliant, International Football Topic getting back on topic by talking about a non International Football game, after it went off topic by talking about International Football.

Aye we had momentum after the September wins but this is a big blow no doubt

Hopefully the others can step up, maybe a chance for Woodburn but I'd rather its from the bench again. One or two players already talking him up ahead of this one which is a slightly dangerous thing to do in spite of what he did last month

Perhaps he'll go with Ramsey more advanced and have Allen and Edwards shielding behind

    Today's matches

    UEFA

    GROUP C
    17:00: Azerbaijan v Czech Republic
19:45: San Marino v Norway, Northern Ireland v Germany
    • Germany, with eight wins from eight, are assured a play-off. Northern Ireland are also guaranteed to finish in the top two but are not yet guaranteed a play-off. The sides meet in Belfast next time out, with world champions Germany requiring a point to qualify for Russia.

    GROUP E

    17:00: Armenia v Poland
    19:45: Romania v Kazakhstan, Montenegro v Denmark
    • Poland need a point to guarantee a top-two finish. They will clinch the group if they win and Denmark draw in Montenegro.

    GROUP F
19:45: Scotland v Slovakia, England v Slovenia, Malta v Lithuania
    • England qualify if they win, or if they draw and Slovakia do not win. Regardless they would guarantee a top-two finish with a draw, or even if they lose should Scotland and Slovakia draw.
    • Slovakia will secure second place if they beat Scotland and Slovenia lose to England.

England v Slovenia is on ITV, all the others somewhere on Sky Sports Football

Massive credit to Northern Ireland for how they've done in their group, what a great few years they've had

I think they will still make it .. they play Peru at home next, which is a HUGE game for them .. win it, and chances are they will take 4th spot as Peru's final game is against Colombia, who are currently in 3rd. Lose it, and they are in serious trouble, as you said. Argentina's final game is away against Ecuador.

Chile, in 5th, are also still very much in the mix. One point behind Peru and Argentina, with games against Ecuador (H) and Brazil (A) to come.

Exciting climax to qualifying in Conmebol.

Chile are 6th but yes, it's very tight.

Whoever finishes 5th, and goes into the play-off round, should make it as it's New Zealand they face.

    Ah, yes, 6th.

Never knew they play NZ in the playoff .. that should be enough to see Argentina qualify then, as I really cannot see them finishing 6th.
