I just don't buy this story..
There has been nothing from FSG to suggest they are looking to sell.

Nice pop up explosion with the ad, gave up trying to get to the story.

FSG finally showed this summer that they were willing to compete with the big clubs, whether we signed VVD or not, the intention was there.

I'm happy for them to stay and keep doing this but wouldn't be against a takeover if it was someone with greater means/ambition.

Yeah come on let’s have some Arab who considers 200m a season for players as loose change he wouldn’t bother to pick up if he dropped it on the way to Spinneys for his weekly shop...

Why can't Bill buy us? We could be one of his charity cases.

There’s seems to be plenty of talk about cash and the like around our club at the moment.

    Good.

We need deep pockets. Better still, deeper pockets.

Kinda think this may assist Edwards and Co in our ability to land our priorities.

    It helps I guess.

    Positive news.

I am hopeful, but skeptical. Any potential deal appears to be in the very early stages regardless.

I doubt this is true but if it is then it could be great news.

So after a pathetic apology how did they show they are ready to compete with the big clubs, buy three players that cant make the first team and buy one that cant play till next season,if your happy with that your supporting the wrong team, lfc and the fans deserve better, what success have we had in they're seven years, the first team hasnt improved under fsg

I was watching an American feed for the Newcastle match and they said she was there to broker a deal for Newcastle so to be honest this is a nothing sensationalist story made to sell a Sunday paper.

We signed Salah, Robertson, Solanke and Ox. We hardly went toe to toe with the big boys, if anything our squad looks less equipped to deal with this season given the extra games we face.

    This!

I really hope this is true and I really hope after the 3rd time asking we can get owners that can place this club where it deserves.

I wonder what the actual return would be if they got 1 billion for us?

People would rather whinge than appreciate the fact FSG were trying to sign VVD which would have made him the world's most expensive CB.

We actually signed Keita, but that's not good enough either because we have to wait a season.

Doesn't matter what happens, people will whinge, because they ******* love it.

People whinge because during FSG’s tenure, we’ve gone absolutely nowhere as a club on the pitch.

And using ‘tried’ as a means of justifying some form of ambition, sums them up completely.

I want owners who don't accept failure. For such owners look at PSG.

Fans have lost patience with projects and aren't willing to wait it out. Instant gratification please.

I think people whinge because in 7 years they have managed 2 top 4 and one league cup, which is a pathetic outcome no matter how do you look at it.

We've been waiting the better part of a decade for Liverpool to become relevant again and we've only occasionally flirted with relevance in that time. I'm sick of feeling like we're in stasis barring the odd anomalous season.
