We will win, but normal service will resume thereafter. It’s the Liverpool way.

Sky saying this will be the highest viewing figures world wide for any club match ever.

LFC aren’t a big club and the Premier League isn’t popular anymore

I'd be driven over the moon whether we edged past them, but had it be the result a stalemate I wouldn't spit on it given we are without our more decisive striker in

any our past big header since he wears the LFC shirt, which is Sadio Manè,

    it's my awareness,

I don't see our defence not conceding at least 2.

So we have to hope our attack catches fire and even then it will be difficult to break down Mourinhos well drilled side.

So basically I couldn't be less confident.

    no mane
coutinho to Barcelona in Jan top story on all papers.
    our shambles of a defence.
    our recent form.
the mood is dark going into this game.

the first goal in this game is absolutely vital if the mancs get it we are in big trouble they will just sit in and counter unlike us they are a extremely well organised side very difficult to score against.

That;s the key to this match = we have to score first and make Maureen's Manure come out and hit them again. If they score first, early, it'll be tough to open up against them with our porous midfield and wobbly defence for the reminder of the match.

(setting aside the legalities of it )

The weekend's match looks like it will play perfectly into Man Utd's hands. We'll have plenty of possession in the attacking third but no cutting edge, restricted to long shots which aren't even on target, they'll stand strong in defence like Mourinho teams do, they get some set pieces and with their height and us being a pushover in defence, and a few ruthless goalscorers in their team, they'll get a goal or two. At best we'll get a goal late in the game to give us hope but ultimately come away with zero points.

It's been a familiar pattern to this fixture as far back as 2002 (Forlan, Dudek etc.). I'd be relieved if we got a draw now, especially a 0-0.

As for the season as a whole, I'd be thrilled if we get 4th. A few weeks ago that would have demonstrated a lack of ambition.
Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Smashing them also comes with the added bonus of Jose refusing to be interviewed after the match.

That is great fighting talk. Trouble is, we no longer have the players to respond to it.

Where we once had the likes of Gerrard, Hyppia, and even the much maligned Kuyt, we now have Goofy Hooferson as our captain, and a bunch of also-rans to back him up

We all know what's going to happen, sadly - and it won't be pretty

Exactly. The Mane stuff was a kick in the balls but they’re not invincible. We’ve lost like what, 4 times at home in the league since Klopp took charge?

Carrick is also out, who do they have for defensive midfield if they have to make a sub for Matic and Herrera

You can present the charred remains to Henderson if it makes you feel better
