I think Trent could grow into an important player for us, even if it's not as a right back, but he's had a few games in the league where he's looked his age. Man City for example he looked like a rabbit in the headlights.

An ideal situation would be Clyne back and the two youngsters rotating with him.

    no way, mate,

he'll get back on the training pitch with our bunch of lads, and soon restore his role as a regular starter,

we absolutely need to rotate him with TAA and Joe Gomez in way to help the last two in their long process of growth and technical completion,

they all three are our future,

think about what you are willing to say before spitting non sense off your mouth, mate,

Pretty limited player, although he has more brains than Walker you can see why Walker is the preferred choice for England

unjustifiable that Kyle Walker being the starting regular at right back of England national team when Clyney is available to be called upon,

Nathan has a brain which Kyle doesn't have,

but of course, you are entitled to your opinion,

Trent looked like a rabbit in the headlights away to Manchester City.

Clyne looked like a rabbit in the headlights when we lost 3-2 to Swansea at Anfield

Wow. Must be a **** time for him, all the best to him and his recovery. Basically up for grabs now. Hope Trent capitalises on the opportunity.

So leaving him out of the CL squad proved to be the right decision after all.

Why would we have sold him in the summer?

Because he had a terrible season and we should be doing a lot better if we want to go anywhere anytime soon

We've missed his steadying, reliable presence at the back this season.

And he's still the best RB we have.

Anyone else think that Clyne starting 97 matches in two seasons (2015/16 & 2016/17) may have brought this prolonged absence on?

Not many other PL full backs got close to starting that many games.

I've actually got him playing 102 games in those two seasons.
