I doubt Lallana will start. I think we will see the same team that we saw against West Ham with maybe Coutinho in for Ox.

Yep. Only leaves the bitter Saints fans with one target to boo for 90 minutes though.

Yeah probably this. Should be a strong bench too. Karius, Trent, Lovren, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Milner, Lallana, Sturridge

We are the most hated club on the Southampton forums. I would like to see us show them why their better players want to come here.

Three points, by hook or by crook.

Would be great to see hattricks and another improved performance by those behind the front lines, but accumulating points now is crucial to staying within arms reach of the top four.

Roll up the sleeves and work. Keep the positive energy flowing.

    A terrifying thought .
To be hated by Southampton fans

Tbf I get why they would want to hurl their own particular inbred abuse at us when we bring their own to stuff them with.

An easy 3-1 for us with as many ex Southampton players scoring the better

He certainly was and I was for us signing him then. However was not for signing him this time round. Hope I am proved well and truly wrong as hecapoears a very willing and patient learner. He could and should fit right in our side.

Love how you are all assuming we will go through the international break without an injury

Agreed. Must win if we want to keep our top 4 ambitions alive.

let's keep our feel good factor intact,

another must win game whether w'd like to maintain our pressure on the teams above us in the table,

don't know whether Mr Pellegrino will park or not the bus to stifle our outstanding attacking trio,

but I guess it will be likely another very tough game to break the deadlock early and address onto our pathway,

we play a team that don't make of their strikeforce the better department they own,

but as exhibited in the recent past with another manager at their guidance, they know how to play at Anfield,

the saints will likely defend deep and try to hit us on the break, they will likely try to speculate on every single episode,

and defend an eventual slender lead to chasten us on the break,

so please, lads, take a look at the set pieces, keep the lines tight, and try to stifle as many attempt of counter attacks as possible,

it will probably be another very tactical game as the one we played at the London Olympic Stadium over the hammers,

last lowdown from the Liverpool Echo: Adam Lallana likely involved in a closed door friendly game next week, so on his way back to recovery,

but probably still not available to be involved in official football immediately after the international break,

good news indeed, but obviously we need patience with the dude,

I've noticed that we've never lost a game that the 3 Alex's have started: Ox, Arnold and Manninger.

Let's get those 3 all on the pitch... although I think Manninger might have retired now, so that could be a little tricky.

Thats a ridiculously good front five. On their day they are as good as any across any club in the world.
We knw where the fault lines lie

not agree, mate, with only one central holding midfielder and two half wingers as wee Phil and Adam plus three forwards, our line up would turn out massively overexposed at the

back, although ridiculously good, never mind the counter pressing, we'd miss out on a further central midfielder capable to help Can/Hendo in his defensive duties,

in my opinion, one of Milly or Gini would fit the bill in place of Adam Lallana,

with a 4-3-3 system and the fab four all available, Adam Lallana and AOC could only be deemed as valid backups, in my opinion,

and we'd need them both starting from the bench,

    Mig

    Gomez Matip Klavan Moreno

    Can/Hendo

    Wjinaldum Coutinho

    Salah Firmino Manč

As subs: Karius, TAA, Lovren, Milner, Lallana, AOC, Sturridge,

starting eleven and bench sorted out, mate,

DM, back 4 and goalie all are levels below that front 5 in terms of quality. I am not really complaining. Its just what it is.

I really hope Klopp sticks with Klavan and Matip. They have looked a lot better.

Defended really well agains't Hudd and West Ham

To be fair a lot of that has to do with a slight change of system. Gomez doesn't bomb forward anymore, he holds a much stricter position effectively making a back three at times. I noticed this a few matches a go...could have a lot to do with why we are keeping more clean sheets.

We should wear our orange kit for this match, ( with a tee shirt underneath that says "Free VVD")
