Surprised at the lack of match threads for juniors teams, especially in an international week.

Dhanda looking very bright as is Bobby. Hopefully step up a few gears in the second half.

    1-1 btw

dominated the proceedings in the first half, but let the toons convert the first chance they had,

impressive Dhanda, Ejaria, Adekanie, and great midfield contribution by Virtue Thick,

sometimes we looked overexposed to the toons counter attacks,

let's hope we find a way through over the second period,

plenty of chances created, only one goal nodded in, enjoyable game by the way,

as I said before, let's hope to find a way through into the toons backline at least a couple of times over the second half,

I'm pretty confident, but let's beware of the toons!

Need more runners from midfield, only Virtue breaking forward plus Dhanda and Bobby are very Wide. A few more in the box and we'll see a different game.

agree about Bobby and Dhanda, I was expecting a little bit more by Rhian Brewster,

fingers crossed he will restart from where he had left before his international duty in the second half,

more than runners into the box, we would need a forward converting the size of play we are building, now it's up to Rhian Brewster, mate!

    Hi Rosso,
    I've been looking in.
I just hope we can turn all our dominance into a few goals second half.
If we get an early second it could become easy as the game goes on.

We made that a lot harder than it should have been.
Credit to Newcastle for the work ethic 2nd half.
Ovie needs to get some game time somewhere he is too good for this standard.

    Good weekend you reds.

great great Ovje Ejaria, what a stunning individual effort, when the other lads let up a bit he stepped up on the shields and dictated the tempo of the game and the final

passes to our forwards, absolutely my personal MOTM, our decisive lad,

despite we risked so much at the back in the first part of the second period, we managed to find the last say right with a Ovje individual effort, and even stroked the third on the

    counter a couple of times,

well deserved three points in our debut at this International Challenge Cup,

starting line up weakened by several absentees but anyway up to the task we should deal with,

congrats to the boys, Mr Critchley and his staff,

not our best performance so far in the current season anyway,

we should improve from this scrappy win, but recovering the several assets we had to give up on, the things will turn out certainly better,

for the moment, let's enjoy these three points, then from tomorrow we will turn to focus on next mini derby game in EPL2,

    C'MON YOU MIGHTY MINI REDMEN!!

surely a good weekend, rewarded with three points and a compelling performance by several of our individuals,

not our best team display, particularly at the back, but for the moment let's enjoy the win,

He needs to do it more consistently if he wants to make it, he definitely has the ability, just needs to drive on a bit more, sometimes he looks like a spectator IMO but when he gets going you can see the talent he has

for goodness sake, he's a fantastic talent, but I fear if he won't bulk up a bit and work on his pace to enhance his speed I doubt he'll make it in our first team in the long term,

anyway he's already mature U23 material, and before the end of the season he would certainly deserve Mr Klopp's consideration for some games spells in our senior team,

I never doubted he has talent mate, but he'll need more than talent to make it, my point was he lacks drive and is sometimes is content to let other players lead the way, but when gets the bit between his teeth drives on and takes on the responsibility like he did against the toons he looks a player, but he needs to do it more often, he might get minutes in the FA Cup but I can't see him playing any league games unless we're down to bare bones, Danny Wilson deserves it more IMO

he owns the same chances of Harry Wilson to make it with our first team,

it's all about lack of physicality, in my opinion, not lack of drive or attributes,

Ejaria's goal was something else. Looked at a replay of it about 5 times. Some incredibly tight footwork, especially at the end.

He's gotten physically stronger as well.

Hes a lovely footballer to watch.

His ball for Brewster in the opening minutes was sublime too.

Surely Ejaria has to be knocking on the door again? Can't be far off knocking Wijnaldum to the bench for a few games at least.

don't think so, mate, I think Gini being still far superior in some technical aspects, and surely he's still actually more physical beside Ovje,
