I think it may just be PR on the Senegal FA's part to keep up their end of the bargain with LFC for allowing mane to join up with his country, and now that they've qualified, be allowed to return to merseyside. The injury rhetoric is just a convenient excuse.
    I think it’s exactly this.

I would agree, if the term ‘old injury’ is a direct quote from Senegal FA. Hopefully so.

I don't think it's a major issue in all honesty considering that statement.

Injury possible flare up as it solves the matter. No one can complain. Nice.

He wasn't subbed and they were leading, so I'm quite sure he'd have asked few minutes before the off if he felt something.

Looks like we had an agreement in place with Senegal. Nothing to worry about IMO.

I read it differently from Klopps quote

“Specifically on him returning to Melwood early to be with us; obviously it is a concern that the hamstring injury is again on the agenda and it will be critical for us to monitor and manage that in the coming days.

“At this stage we haven’t seen Sadio yet to properly assess the extent, but what is clear is that we will have to stay on top of this for the rest of the week and make sure we are careful in how we look after him.
    Something has clearly happened.
    dont look back in anger.

I don't know if Klopp would be extending congratulations to all concerned in such a lengthy way if there was anything wrong with Mane.

Do you just choose to ignore what klopp just said on the club website here I'll put it below for you take your time reading it.

Why is there a new thread on this when it's not even confirmed?

probably we have scheduled the times of Manč's return to availability too quickly,

hence that's why Sadio has to put up with a recurrence of his hamstring setback,

Erm, you're discounting the fact that sadio played 87 minutes for senegal in a competitive tie just a few days ago. He joined up with his national side fine and fit after the west ham game.

We didn't break him. Senegal did. And not for the 1st time too.

What I mean is that we should take Klopp's words with a pinch of salt.

This could be his new trick - before every game he says 'Mane isn't fit to play, or he can only manage 20 mins off the bench' and then the team sheet is announced... 'Surprise!!!' there he is.

By the time we play Chelsea, I don't think the surprise will be so effective. Conte raises his eyebrows in mock disbelief 'oh look Mane starts after all, I really didn't see that one coming...'

if it will be ascertained as a lingering problem, I doubt Sadio will make part of our starting team taking on the blues in two weeks time,

I doubt Sadio was ready to play the full game against West Ham,

he only did it because of our necessity, and I'm sure Klopp took the risk which is actually paying the toll after having payed the dividends at the London Olympic Stadium,
