Had no idea where to put this (mods feel free to move it to a different thread) but Iíve just come across this on twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/paui16_/s...72889520422912

If itís legit looks like weíll have a new kit sponsor soon. The one on that link is LinkedIn, looks boss. Most likely the club have sent that booklet out to a lot of top businesses.

I quite like it, though we've got loads of sponsors already that would look good on our shirts (Vixlet, Vitality, Western Union etc.) instead of Standard Chartered.

Don’t think they’d have enough to be our full shirt sponsor would they? Western union aside.

Not sure they'd have the money to sponsor a Championship club nowadays.

It would be nice to get a megabucks shirt deal this time.

It was a good deal at the time...but like normal, we then missed out on the massive sponsorships that arrived in the years following it.

I don't think the SC deal had a CL or even European qualification clause though...which was a good job considering.

This is the message on reddit:
ďSo, a buddy of mine in Los Angeles said that he erroneously received a package from LFC and asked me if he wanted him to send it to me. Of course I said 'yes'. It arrived today. It's the Promotional Box that was sent to Linkedin to solicit them to be LFC's kit sponsor for the 2019 season! Check out this packageď

How the **** have we erroneously sent a package meant for LinkedIn to some random fella. Now we know how we messed up the VVD saga, Iím starting to believe that story about a misent email. Someone is messing with us from behind the scenes.

Tbf...we have no idea how the bloke got the package...or even if the package is real.

Even if this is legit, it isn't unusual for parcels to go astray.

Loved the shirt that had the Candy logo and looked like it had been splattered with white paint.

The first English club to have a shirt sponsor back in the day. Some savvy blokes running the ship in the 80's before we completely lost our way.

The 90's were a virtual wasteland for us after the last title. We were turning down Eric Cantona and Peter Schmeichel, and adding a wobbly tier to the Anfield Road End.

    God the candy kit great

One of my favourite hits with the 70s yellow away team shirts

I know that this one fans don't really like the 90s green away shirt loved it

We never should have adopted green as a club colour. It never looks right, especially on the badge. Yellow or grey was a perfectly good secondary colour for the kits. Not a big fan of black either, or the other various weird colours we've used in our change kits.

Grey and red is always nice. Not a fan of yellow, only that one that had the badge in the middle and some black pattern going down the side by Adidas was nice.
