It is a total white out here today. Just been walking in a blizzard, now on a bus home going at about 20mph due to thick snow and poor visibility

    Morning
The world is still white up here.
Think we might have to bring the gas bottle inside, as it's too cold to work properly.

I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn that it's raining here.

A replacement wand handle for our Dyson has been delivered.
What a way to kick off the weekend.

I thought our replacement window latch was worth mention, but it can't beat yours.

Plus… after we'd searched and found the right latch at the hardware shop, son went and found two complete sets down in the clutter of the our basement workbench!!!

This is what usually happens to us,I expect the missing wand to be discovered under the log pile in the garage any day now.....

I should invest in a new laundry basket;ours morphed into an ironing basket when no one was looking and I've ended up running back and fore to the line with damp washing draped over my head and shoulders.

It's one of those 'Sod's Laws'

    11. The lost item will be found after purchasing a replacement.

or this, which seems to apply to The House of Diddler…

    21. Junk expands to fill the space available.

It's 11.45pm and the humidity is a bit tiresome… windows and doors are open for a breeze, which seems reluctant to enter the house.

There have been times when we spent months/years searching for something only to find it in Mr kas's sock drawer the day after the incredibly expensive replacement was installed.
On this occasion however I'm almost sure the item in question was stolen when Mr kas left it on the pavement after cleaning the car.

So do I. Mine's slowly self-destructing and falling apart. Probably go for a black one this time.

Stolen by someone who'd mislaid their own wand, and were on their way to buy a new one, and then passing your place…

Your 'Rule 21' unfortunately applies here. Though its usually a debateable one, on the basis that one's 'trash' is another's 'treasure' :FP:

Random objects and even food items 'miraculously reappear' when they are no longer wanted..

Mrs Diddler has the 'ball of string in the drawer' complex… stuff which is useless is kept because 'it might come in handy one day.'

Some of those items we've had since the 60s, and have never been found to be in the 'ah, I'm so glad we hung on to that' category.

Mind you, I'm similar with books that 'I might read again sometime'

I used to love any of those with some grapefruit bits in… but I'm not allowed any more.

I wouldn't mind either orange marmalade or lemon curd.

Fruity/nutty/chocolatey or dairy spreads on the same slice of grainy/coarse wholemeal bread, along with the obligatory butter, makes a delicious meal

God knows;every time he cleans the car he leaves something on top of the wall and someone swipes it.
    We've lost dog leads,towels,blankets,seat covers,a torch.....the list is endless.

It's a conflict with heart medication. Always loved grapefruit juice, too.
