If only Utd could find a way to lose this one, it would be glorious.

I'd like them to stay in a while longer to about the quarter finals then get smashed by PSG.
It means more matches and hopefully more injuries.

I think them floundering out tonight would be a bigger negative for them tbh. I can’t see it happening, but we can dream.

It's a tricky one. Losing tonight - and surely becoming the first team to win their first 4 games and still fail to qualify? - would be funny, but I'd be a bit concerned about them going on to win the EL again.

I think I'd almost rather they stay in the CL where, surely, they'd come up against someone too good.

Jose is a cup genius, he’ll go far in either of them, and they’ll be annoyingly good in the CL, I reckon. A nice EL travel schedule would do them good, though!

Scratch that, they’d have to lose by 6 not to qualify, I thought they were in a similar situation to us re: goal difference. Oh well.

I don't think it's mathematically possible for them to get knocked out.

I amended it a bi5 further down the thread. It is mathematically possible, though improbable to the point of being impossible.

Just curious, are we linked to any of the 16 teams players playing tonight?

So CSKA started well, but got their lights taken away as Utd fired two quick 2nd half goals

Conte is having a pop at all the other English teams, after they were dire in their draw with Atletico Madrid

And Rodgers and Celtic make it to the Europa, despite losing to Anderlecht

What is Conte whining about now? He's spent that much time recently whining that he's becoming more like the Special Once with every week that passes.
