It would be good if we get either BM or RM - I think on our day we can beat either of them as we tend to play better against big teams.

Also it will give us an indication and the JK as to how far we have come as a team and as a club to be competing against the best.

Our record against these six clubs makes interesting reading

    Basel
    W 0 D 3 L 1

    Porto
    W 2 D 2 L 0

    Shakhtar D
    Never met

    Juventus

    W 2 D 1 L 3

    Bayern M
    W 2 D 4 L 1

    Real Madrid
    W 3 D 0 L 2
So, never beaten Basel, and we've beaten Real three times.

    Bring on Madrid then!

Regardless what the records say Basel would be by far the best option and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich the worst ones.
Neither Real or Bayern are in their best moment now (and that applies to Juve as well) but we won't be playing this game now, so how would be their form in February (and our own one) is a completely different story.

Personally I'd want Basel just to get back at them for knocking us out in 14-15.

looking at how 1st and 2nd placed teams have gone through this season its quite peculiar as there is no easy pathway available to get to the final. chances are there are going to be some big clubs going out in the round of 16.

wouldn't want basel as they are far more likely to park a double decker to frustrate us, and we all know how sometimes we don't get the result we should. the bigger teams will have faith in thier own way of playing and expect us to beat them if we wanted to progress - i say lets accept that invitation.

We would crush Basel as far as I am concerned. But I wouldn't be opposed to a big glamour tie either. Would be interesting to see how we measure up against the best when our front 4 is on form.

I would rather that happen as late as possible, beating Real Madrid in the last 16 is not quite same feeling as beating them in the semis for example.

    I want Basel

    Mostly for revenge

Just want to avoid Madrid and Bayern

    Confident we'd beat the rest

I don't want Basel cause as he turned out in 2014-15, their brand of football is very physical and cynical,

they usually packed their defence and sit deep, driving the opposition out of their comfort zone,

they wait for the right moment to hit, they are very strong on set pieces, and don't give anything to the spectacle,

they are cynical and one of the toughest side to get past in a double leg tie of the lot of teams we could be drawn with,

their best ability is stifling the play sources and the attacking flair possessed by the oppositions,

a very hard nut to crack, we'd better avoid them just entered in the knock out stage,

    Really?

Don't really rate Juve this season.....admittedly only seen them in the CL

But got hammered by Barca and really struggled against Sporting Lisbon as well -> scraped a win at home and drew away

A good team obviously but Real and Bayern are stacked with talent

I just worry that they would be the best side at shutting us down attack wise. I watched them do it to a very good Napoli side last week away from home.

Despite Bayern and Real being impressive up front I'd be confident of our lot causing them problems as well.

Hope we stay clear. It's a glamour tie but chances of getting past them over two legs are slim.

I want to progress and meet the big guns down the track.

I donít see the point in wanting to play one of the top teams now unless you are not confident on going the all way. It looks to me like these small clubs that want to play UTD or whoever in the FA Cup because they may not play them again in a long time.

The win your group and get easy opponents thing is over used by the media too much. Arsenal won their group last season, got Bayern.

Last time we won our group before this season, we got Real Madrid, time before that we got Barcelona. Although on both occasion we progressed.

Correct. This draw, all the group winners are home second. Can not face teams from country or from group stage. The next draw has no restrictions and is an open draw, like the FA Cup. First out is home first to second out and so on.

Both Manc teams got lucky, Chelsea and Tottenham not so much.

Chelsea are ********** either by opposition or travel.

Being in their position is not fun, as you will be wanting a trip to Istanbul. If not then it's Messi or Neymar
