He keeps faith in Simon Mignolet who is as reliable as David James when he played for us. and he favours him over Loris Karius who he signed and is a bigger worry. and then you got Ward who I feel sorry for he hasnt even had a chance to prove himself here but seemed to do really well in scotland for Aberdeen playing 21 games and then 46 games for Huddersfield. and yet cant seem to get ahead of these 2 clowns and yes this is not FIFA but are you trying to say that 4 transfer windows are not enough to improve our very weak very poor defence? how many do you need? keep in mind he rejected offers recived for Alberto Moreno and he only seemed to want to sign Virgil van Dijk and nobody else dispite being told months in advance its not going to happen he didnt go after anyone else and there are plenty of other better players out there. but you keep using your this isnt fifa defence and keep your head in the sand fine by me.
He's trying to pick the right transfers, something i'd applaud him for rather than chastize. If you ain't got 400 mil to spend like the City's off this world every dollar spent counts, so sometimes you've got to keep your hand on your wallet sometimes in order to sign someone better later. You're not trying to improve things, you're trying to build a squad that can win everything. Once again, much easier if you've got 400 mil to spend. When you're on liverpool's budget a lot harder and you really have to pick your transfers. Like with Mane, Salah and Keita who are coming in for the right price and are contributing immensely. 3/4 more of that ilk and you have your side that can stomp anyone, but because of spending-restrictions it might well last a few more windows.

It's utterly ridiculous that you had to even say that. It should be obvious to any fan. Not one excuse is valid for his failure to improve the GK an defence.

What absolute nonsense. He's not been restricted in the transfer market at all. He's got plenty of money available and that's on him if he doesn't want to spend it. Why lie to defend the indefensible.

So Klopp is looking for the next Bonucci or Hummels for 35 million, until then we have to settle for 2nd rate defenders, mean while other clubs are signing good reliable centre backs for 30-40 million, Klopp is allowing opportunities to bring in better slip away for the sake of the perfect defender.

There is no excuse or logic to what he is doing back there.

You're saying he could easily throw the money on let's say, v. Dijk, Oblak, Milinkovic-Savic, Lemar and Aubameyang all at once and be done with it? That's about 350 mil in one go.

Doubt it's 35 million, but I do think he's going for perfection with a limited budget.

I don't play any fifa at all tbh. But I reckon that's about what it takes to fix the problems in defence, midfield and attack and make it into a title/cl-contending favorite squad. Who do you reckon he should get to plug all the holes?

Who gets perfection anyway, all we want is good, reliable defenders.

I don't know if has to work with a strict budget, but he certainly won't have 400 million at his disposal.

I like the way he has gone about in the transfer market, most have been a success.

He is building Liverpool up to be one of the giants of Europe, so it's going to take time to build the squad. Transfers don't always solve problems, just ask Spurs and Sanchez, or Man City and Stones.

Wow reading some the posts on here It like reading what I say, even Gary Neville is saying the same things.

Like I've been trying to say the last couple of days I think Klopp has done very good job after a disaster start the season

We never bid its common knowledge to real Liverpool fans but you can believe the tabloid rubbish who made up the price etc, you use that to have a go at Liverpool really tells us about you.

I thought that we illegally approached VVD as we were desperate to sign him when Southampton found out they demanded 70 million and that we carried on talking with the player and the club

The fact you felt the need to insult me speaks volumes. It's ok for you to believe what the tabloids tell you when you like what they're saying. Comical.

To my mind out team cannot get any better until Klopp changes his mindset. The team is way too top-heavy. World class attack, average midfield, championship defence.
It's not even just a personnel issue. It's a case of every single time we get the ball we fly forward like we're 3-0 down with nothing to lose. When you have such poor centre backs you can't do that. You have to be intelligent in your play, pass and move and make the opposition work. Tire them out. As it is we bust a gut so often we're as tired as they are and we' ve left a whole bunch of gaping holes behind us.
It's like we know we're going to concede, so we panic and try to score 10 goals a game. That might work against mugs but we play PL football, not championship football.
I think a top GK, two top class CBs and a DM and we're in with a shout. Sadly that's exactly what I thought before the summer. Have any of these areas been addressed?
    No.
