Being reported in the Echo but it would be nice to think we’re throwing City a red herring.

    We'll be fine without VVD.

Yeah seems VVD is doubtful, but nothing confirmed, we should still have enough to cause them problems with or without him.

A bit strange that, I like Sterling but better than Mane? No chance (unless Fred specifically means ‘on current form’).

No one’s ever compared Sterling to Suarez, yet, even opposition fans have called Mane ‘the black Suarez’. That’s high praise, and accurate, in my books.

Now Phil is gone, think M&M will step up to another level. At least this is what I hope.

As for Bobby, I'm not sure how much Phil leaving has been affecting him.

lmfao Mane and Suarez are two completely different types of players. Mane is technically superior to Sterling, by a long long margin.

Yeah, it’s not even close in my book. Sterling could never score the goals Mané does, from either side. Sterling also needs a lot more service to score, Mané can do it on his own, and is brilliant with interplay.

I think it will be a one all draw or a 2-1 win for the visitors.

mane has to do a lot himself, sterling has two great asistant behind him(de bruyne, silva), who made for him 1/2 a goal

Oh great no Coutinho, VVD and still no Mignolet replacement, in a game a loss sees is out the top 4

We will need a bit of luck , and City are due a bit of bad luck after their run, they have rode their luck at times.

Good to see Virgil keeping up the fine tradition of Liverpool signings being as fragile as glass ...

Age has nothing to do with tbh. But I couldn’t disagree more on this, Mané is by far the better footballer.

Fred your nuts mate, there is a reason Mane was shortlisted for African player of the year, there is no comparison at all, Sterling has also played far more games than Mane this season, you cannot be serious!!

maybe you havent seen sterling this year much but he s grabbing winners almost every game

he s finishing very well too

he s coming of age and this is just its start..... sterling is now boss at city really, proving to be a more regular matchwinner than anyone else in their team even de bruyne

Was really looking forward to seeing VVD marshalling the back line in this match everyone has to be on point today if we want to win especially the midfield.

Most of his " winners " have been "right place right time" type goals heavily created by the players behind him, rather than himself. 😉

right place right time... we could use more of that kind of positioning

mane didnt have coutinho salah firmino setting up his chances no?

sterling is starting to bloom and he s only going to get better
