I'd go 3 at the back against City with TAA and Robertson as wing backs in a 3-4-3 as follows:

    Mignolet

    Gomez
    VVD
    Klavan

    TAA
    Can
    Wijnaldum
    Robertson

    Salah
    Firmino
    Oxlade-Chamberlain

    Subs:

    Karius
    Milner
    Lovren
    Lallana
    Mane
    Matip
    Solanke (or Sturridge if fit)

Other than the misplaced pass to Can v Leicester, 1 mistake he's made that's cost us a goal?

Gomez has made 3 in 2 months
    Lovren 3 in 1 game

matip gets an award for luckiest footballer alive. the amount of mistakes and missed tackles he makes that don't go punished is astonishing. cant win a header to save his life.

    1. VVD
    2. Lovren/klavan can't split them
    3. matip

    on current form

He's been poor of late I agree, but I think that Klopp sees Van Dijk and Matip as his favoured CB partnership in the long term. And so, Jurgen might decide to pair them up immediately, as we saw against Everton.

I think we will have Migs, VVD and Lovren to start. Robertson and Gomez of course. Milner Gini Can, Mo, Mane, Bobby . Pretty straight forward in my mind.

    you illuded, mate,

it will be a hard fought draw, or a narrow loss, mark my words mate,

we will likely recover Momo Salah, but we could be deprived of Bobby Firmino if the FA authority will take a severe measure after the Mason Holgate bust up,

and now we'll certainly be even without Phil Coutinho, who so far was the player to decide most of the big headers we took on since Mr Klopp has become our gaffer,

we'll certainly be offensively toothless, Momo Salah aside if he'll be of the contest,

add that our inclination to make at least a defensive blunder in any crucial game, so you might take stock of our limited chances to come off that game with a positive result,

there's nothing to be optimistic about, mate,

as I said before, it will be optimistically a draw and we could come off it massively delighted with that outcome,

I know but it's strange, Klavan has been rock solid, look at the Everton game where Matip tried to break the record for the most times a ball hit a footballers head without him knowing where the **** it came from or where the **** it landed it's frightening !

I'm proper flat after the weekend but I'll be well up for this and I genuinely think we'll turn them over as everyonw will be well fired up.

I don't see it mate in all honesty

According to the Mirror, Madley included the incident in his match report but insisted that he did not hear Firmino say the N-word.

The Mirror understood that Madley made it clear that he would've shown Firmino a red card if he heard him using the racist insul

I think like Gomez he seems to go to sleep but other than Leics goal i cant think of a mistake he's made that has cost us a goal whereas Gomez has cost us 2 and Lovren...well just lets leave it at that. In Lovren and Mignolet the opposition know from the start they have a chance...why give them that psychological boost. I have a hunch we will either get v lucky on Sunday and win or be torn apart. I cant make up my mind which.

I've been confident for this game for a while. Don't ask me why.

Theres every chance we get beat, but City are beating everyone, so this game is almost like a free hit in some senses. It's not the biggest deal in the world if we lose, so there is less pressure on us and we can go out and play our game. We've had a good break so can play really high intensity and get right in their faces.

jesus imagine going into battle with you!

all jokes aside we have a chance. would def have either lallana or the ox just in front of Can and Wijnaldum. front 3 picks itself and i prefer lovren over matip. im going for a 2-1 win. Bobby and salah

Okay Rosso, Coutinho is not here but even if he was, he’d couldn’t play due to injury. My only fear is that the FA will find some reason to inflict a ban on Firmino and so he’ll have to sit it out. Time for sum of the parts to come together. Would be huge boost to beat City.

City will be nervous going into this game, they are on a very long run and Pep has said that they will lose eventually, who better to beat them than us? Can't see Bobby getting ban on the basis of what has been revealed so far so front line should be ok.

Ox imo, Lallana looked a bit off the pace against Everton.
