Yeah its not the right signing, Mane is even better on the right as well. The only possible way is Salah as false nine.

We needs CMs first and foremost.

Ok but even then, Salah and Mané have both had injuries this season. We will have to rotate between CL and the league. Some games will call for players to be rested, or maybe someone is out of form. If nothing like this happened then every squad would be just 11 players.

We definitely need him. Stop thinking about midfield. If we have 4 boss lads, we can play 3 and 1 is always resting. We have so many games.

Mane, Salah, Mahrez, in one team. Sounds awesome with pace, and trickery. However we do need a playmaker to pull all the strings as well. We are going to be one hell of a powerhouse team with Naby in there as well, but we also need the brains and intelligence to connect the pace, and trickery.

    That's where Hendo comes in.

Maybe not but I have no doubts he can excel on the right of a midfield 3.

I think a 4-4-1-1 would be ideal, Mane left, Mahrez right Bobby and Salah up top interchanging

    Agree with this.

If its Mahrez and one other, I'm all for it. In fact, if we have agreed to bring in Naby Keita early then I'm happy with the Mahrez signing this January.

It'll happen. Patience will be key. Look at our our squad has progressed transfer window by transfer window since klopp has been at the helm?

A few rumours doing the rounds that Naby Keita may be brought in this January.

If so, then the signing of Riyad Mahrez makes a lot more sense.

    Keita - Hendo

    Salah - Mahrez - Mane

    Firmino

Keita coming in early would be our biggest signing this window. Bigger than VVD, Mahrez, Lemar, whoever we bring in. What a player.

Exactly LK, Naby will certainly fill the void we have in midfield from cout's departure and mahrez will enhance our firepower upfront with more pace and guile. Would be a dream!

Where have you heard that though? All i've read is some higher at leipzig insisting keita will remain at the german club till the summer.

I wasn't sure how Salah would fit in with Mane and look how that worked out. I'm sure Kloppo has thought this through already if we are signing him

That's one way of looking at it or you could see we have Can till the summer, Milner, Wijnaldium, Henderson (when fit), Grujic in reserve, Ox/Lallana can fill in leading the 3 in the middle. Seem well stocked with Keita to add in the summer.

Yes it is does work, but will also eventually become predictable, particularly with Salah as he will be man marked by a right sided midfielder as well as a full back eventually. Occasionally swapping him and Mahrez could have the same effect it had on Bale when Spurs done similar. It was mrore then effective and another dimension we might need with Coutinho now gone.

Klopp has rotated loads and played different formations. I wouldn't worry about it LK.

Putting hendo in that list is puke worthy.

I imagine that we'll set up with one of Can or Henderson as the 6, Lallana as an '8' and Oxlade-Chamberlain or Wijnaldum as the other '8'. There will then be three spots up for grabs up top, which Mane, Salah, Firmino and Mahrez (if he signs) will compete for.

It only makes sense at all if we bring in a CM as well. Can is going as well. You could argue we should go for Auba otherwise and drop Bobby in behind him.

The real replacement is Dybala or Lemar, plus Keita. And even then we still need an upgrade on the deepest CM.

Mahrez is a fabulous playmaker who can dribble, spray instant crucial passes and score goals. He can play through the middle and has won premier league before. He’s an ideal coutinho replacement. For 60 million, he will be a bargain

Liverpool could also explore the possibility of bringing Naby Keita to Anfield this month, despite agreeing a summer deal last year for the midfielder. [@IanDoyleSport] #LFC

A few of the ITK's saying we may pay a premium to bring him in early.

We cant use him. He offers no pressing and no defensive coverage as a winger. He does a very few things really well, but overall i dont see him as a Kloppkindofplayer.

Personally I think Mahrez is great. Not sure he is the perfect Coutinho replacement but we could do a lot worse.

    Hardly a bargain.

Buying him from France would be classed as a bargain

Bit of a let down if true but he'd probably turn out to be a good signing for the squad.

As much as Salah really. Firmino and Mane do more cover and pressing. Mahrez is a lot like Salah, you need him to 'cheat' so you can hit him with an early pass.
