Our first ever sweeper keeper and a true legend between the sticks, by all accounts an absolute gentleman aswell.

RIP Tommy, you'll never be forgotten.

RIP Tommy , another star shining down from heaven , I started going to games and following Liverpool in 1962, a 14 yr old boy .The flying pig was an ever present in the side , I believe I watch nearly all the games he played in , that was a seriously good team then . its a privilege to be able to say I watch this guy play , a true gentleman that will be sorely missed . Condolences to his family YNWA

    RiP Tommy Lawrence.

My memories as a kid are of Clemence and Grobby between the sticks helping us win everything in sight. But the early team's of Shankly's were the foundation of all great things and from what I know of that period, the "Flying Pig" was integral to their successes.

With his passing, yet another link to the generation of players who made this a legendary club is now gone.

But the day of us winning the League will return and the stars of the past like Tommy will shine down on that happy day.
