What is going on with these two? Seems like they have fallen from the edge of the world. Are hey still injured? In the process of being sold or retired? With the world cup coming up I'd have thought they would be looking for some playing time.

Clyne is notably injured, a back injury.

Sturridge just isn't good enough/not in favor.

Sturridge was injured, but is now back. Clyne will be in a month's time.

I don't get what happened he looked stronger and those outdated stats were no reason to believe he would be injured again-sarcasm for people in denial

Clyne has been injured all season and should be back training in few weeks.

Sturridge has been injured for few weeks but is back in training now.

If we were to sell Clyne I can easily see Man U and Spurs being interested, possibly Chelsea too with the English players they have been after recently.

Though it depends on his situation really.

Let's just see how he goes once he gets fit...though he'll struggle to be 100% by the end of the season.

Clyne has had a back surgery, quite a complicated matter, well recovery is. Expected to be back around mid February if all goes well. We will get a better idea once we name our CL squad. Was not in last submitted team squad. Sturidge is back training and looks like he is available, however one caveat, he may be moving on loan or even sale this window. It’s down to wages one thinks, reported as he is on £120k a week.

With Firmino facing a possibile ban all those saying get rid of Sturridge need to relax a bit. I'd have Sturridge playing over Solanke.

Definitely not Spurs, they won't be after another RB surely?

I'd say Southampton might be interested, but that seems too obvious.

Sturridge will go to another team and bag 10-12 goals before the end of the season.

I'd prefer having Sturridge starting over Solanke.

He'll end up at West Ham or Stoke, they usually like buying our crap players

Clyne has a big injury and a set back.

Sturridge is always injured anew sadly.

Neither do I. Holgate is though for some quotes from years ago which is ridiculous to me.

Clyne is rubbish and hasn't been missed at all - very average player who rarely ever contributed to games
Trent and Gomez far more advanced than Clyne and will only get better

Sturridge - you won't miss a guy who's played 84 times in 4 seasons and only scored 28 goals in that time
if we get his 150k off the wage bill, that's a bonus - completely pointless player
