Coutinho, the ultimate luxury player has gone for 146m. Yes we have Keita coming in the summer but considering we have 4 months of the season left what trio do you think is the best to supply MFS? You may choose from the following -

    Emre Can
    Jordan Henderson
    Adam Lallana
    James Milner
    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
    Georginio Wijnaldum

    My preference is -

    3rd - Wijnaldum, Henderson, Lallana
2nd - Wijnaldum, Emre Can, Ox
1st - Wijnaldum, Emre Can, Lallana

What would you do different to Klopp? Would you make Wijnaldum your DM? Would you unleash Henderson and let him bomb forward as one of the 8's? Would you play Grujic or Ejaria or even put Woodburn in there? Let me know fellow Reds.

You can't say we don't have options!

Ps. I was going to list those options but ended up getting to K) and thought **** it.

    I'd for for a midfield of;

    1. Anyone
    2. But
    3. Henderson
Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I have a problem with that. I see Henderson there.

    Can-Lallana-OXC.

I would sell both, Wijnaldum and Henderson in the summer.

Not a particularly pleasant choice to make. Wijnaldum less than useless this year, Henderson has just lost a step and hes done at this level I think. That just leaves Can holding and Lallana and Ox ahead of him.

    Haha. Nice one.

Faced with a choice worse than Sophie's, I'd actually put Firmino back into Coutinho's position and throw anyone we have up front.

So, Lallana, Firmino and Ox I guess.

I can't bear to type any other of those players' names when choosing a midfield.

I think either Wijnaldum or the Ox will step it up big time. I hope it's Wijnaldum because I feel he's the best footballer we have in midfield.

    So yours is

    .......Lallana, Ox
    ..........Firmino
    Salah, Sturridge, Mane?

I don't think VVD is that good

    Haha.

Anything that does not involve the names Henderson, Can or Wijnaldum.

I'd have Milner in there before them.

Right, you're either the dry sarcastic type or you are deluded beyond belief.

    I hope it's the former.

With what we currently have? Depends on who we are playing: but a combo of Gini Ox and Lallana would be too attacking but necessary at 1-0 down. Anything with Can would be slow and laborious with every pass under or over hot in the final third (bye Can, thanks for the potential but you are a very frustrating player with no end product and very few goals) Henderson would also just slow things down apart from the opposition attack. So that leaves us with Grujic and Gini.

What's the deals with Grujic? From what I've seen he is no worse (in fact better) that Henderson and Can.

I appreciate your confidence in Wijnaldum but I just dont see it. I find it absolutely shocking how little he is involved in far too many games.

Honestly, I rate him. I think with Coutinho in the team he's had to do far more of the donkey work than he'd like to. He has an opportunity now to step it up and I think he will. For me, he's got from now until the end of the season to show what he can do before I give up on him. I acknowledge that he hasn't been great this season but he still could be. The season defining football is yet to be played and he will be important like he was towards the end of last season.

Milner just won't be stopped. Absolute assists machine and has been from the moment he come to Anfield. Great signing.

Yes, it was Coutinho's fault that he touched the ball less than Mignolet.

Can Ox Lallana - has drive, engine, I intelligence and some creativity if nothing else

Milner too slow, Hendo too sideways and back, Wijnaldum too scared and crap

Savage. Now you've both made your point let's have a chat.

Seriously I think he's a good player. His passing is the most accurate out of the midfielders for starters. He keeps us ticking. Why do you think Klopp uses Wijnaldum more than any other midfielder?

How can he keeps us ticking when he is the player that touch the ball fewer times? You are talking nonsense.

Because he doesn't give the ball away? Klavan, Gomez, Lovren, Matip, Hendo and Can have the most touches all season. Why do you think that is?

Wijnaldum is our box to box midfielder. He's up and down the pitch making sprints all game. He shouldn't have the most touches, his job is to release the ball to the the men in front of him as quickly as he can - which he does it accurately.

His duel percentage is better than any other LFC midfielder. As is his pass percentage in the opposition's half.

    I'd like to see,

    6. Hendo
    8. Keita
    10. Oxelade-chamberlain.

I'd love to see how those 3 would work together.
I feel that is the ultimate midfield for us, just remember how good Hendo was in 13/14 with another quality player beside him in Gerrard, the work those 3 do is incredible, I wish people would stop writing hendo off.

I think we will be phenomenal with Keita.

If we don't sign anyone this window, then for now it has to be Ox-Lallana-Can. Henderson's injury problems are too recurring for him to be trusted to be more closely involved day in day out. Ox has done well in last few games and staked a rightful place and he brings a more dynamic flavor to midfield (relative to others)

I pay close attention to Gini when he's playing and he does very very little. Winds the ball back the odd time but does **** all going forward.

That said, he'll probably have a stormer on Sunday.

Can is too much of a reliability, doesn't track back his man. Case in point the Sigurdsson goal, just let him stroll through the midfield & score. He's horrible as a holding mid,a lot better as an attacking mid.

Gerrard was the 6 and Hendo and Coutinho the 8's that season. Would you like to see Hendo played further forward again?

Yes we will be phenomenal with Keita!

He's our most accurate passer in the opposition's half. He's key.
