Clyne? 0% chance he starts. Hes going to be part of the warm weather training in Marbella.

    A slightly disconcerning statistic.
Porto have scored 8 times from set pieces - that's more than anyone else.
I really think we have to get the away goal, preferably more than one.

We have improved a lot on set pieces lately.

Can isn't playing, so they shouldn't get free kicks around the box.

Havent a clue how tonight will go as not to informed on Porto.

They look very strong at home so you'd expect this will be a very tough game.

Would love to think Jurgen could set up the team to take the sting out of what is likely to be early Porto pressure, silence the crowd and nick one or two on the break.

With any European away game its important we can nick a goal and keep it tight at the back.

A win would be tremendous....score draw next best....and third best scenario would be a narrow defeat 1-2..2-3....even tho i don't like losing.

Anyway I'm expecting an interesting game and fingers crossed that the boys can do it on the European stage without Phil as I feel this would be the competition we would miss him most.

Need to be on it from the get go. Think they've scored the most goals from set pieces in the Champions League group stages.

I also think its important for us to know that a win isnt neccesary, we dont want a repeat of Chelsea. A score draw will also do just fine too.

currently 2 points separated porto and benfica, and yet benfice got absolutely zero point in their cl group.i think that tells you something about this porto team.

I think it says more about Benfica than Porto TBF.

Nice new blonde hairdo from Clyney.

Brahimi's not exactly slow and Trent should be able to keep up easily with him, although playing Gomez might allow us to roughen up Brahimi more as Joe is more physical.

Porto need to experience getting beat at home for a change tonight on their own patch.

Spurs scored 2 away goals last night.

City scored 4 away goals last night.

Lets meet in the middle and hope for 3 away goals for us tonight! Is that too much to ask?

Because our away form is so good, I am going for a 2-1 away win, even 3-1.

Our front three picks itself: Mane, Firmino, Salah

Surely Karius in goal, this is not the time to recall Mignolet and I'd be gobsmacked if Klopp did.

Robbo as LB, Looks like Trent again RB unless Gomez passes fitness test.

CB's keep the same VVD and Matip for consistency. Stick with it.

Obviously Captain Hendo plays the anchor in midfield as Emre is suspended.

The tricky dilemma is which 2 from 3 play out of Wijnaldum, Ox and Lallana as well???

I think Gini is guaranteed to play which leaves Ox or Lallana battling out for the final spot. Probably will be Ox as he has more match fitness than Lallana in all fairness although both are great at high energy pressing.

Please don't start Milner from the beginning, maybe bring on as a sub if we need his experience to close out a win though.

    Thoughts?

I think 3-1, might put that on Salah first scorer too.

I agree with all this except the starting of Ox over Lallana. I'd like to see Adam start this and play at least 60 minutes.

I’d be starting Milner myself- Hendo, Gini, Milner. Doesn’t sound great on paper, but our best without Can I reckon.

Can’t see Ox getting a start with his form lately, and his last game particularly.

Feels like we always have the small duvet syndrome - its now the MF that seems to be all over the place after the defence starting to look more solid
