Hi All,
Matt your new Community Manager here.
We have a lot of stickies on the Football thread at present. Stickies are useful for keeping topics in view but too many reduces the space for debate threads. There's also some argument as to how effective they are. I know when I'm reading a forum I often find myself skipping over the stickies to get to the current debates.
To try and get round this I'm starting a 'Guide thread' on the boards. These threads will contain links to all the existing stickied topics so you can easily find them. One Guide thread can replace 6 or 7 stickies and free up more space for the days topics.
The Guide threads will remain open for you to suggest other topics which you'd like to have mentioned here. If there's a classic thread or article posted for instance it could be linked to here.
Matt
