Hannibal Rising 7/10. It was OK. Not much else to say about it really...

Seven for just ok? I really didn't like that movie. I got dragged to see it at the cinema.

Today, I finally saw three movies I've been dying to see for a long, long time:

Ace in the Hole (1951) 8/10
    The Chaser (2008) 8/10
    A Separation (2011) 9/10

It has been a very good day for films.

Ace In The Hole is one I want to watch. Talking of Douglas, I highly recommend The Bad And The Beautiful. One of the best films, if not the best, about Hollywood.

It was really cool. The chase scenes on foot were particularly awesome, as were some of the fight scenes. I also loved the way in which the story resolved itself. It kinda reminded me of how crushed I felt when I first saw Leon at a young age.

I also liked how it shows you who the killer is from the off. It was different.

I watched my first Aki Kaurismäki film today, Le Havre (2011). Simple, yet effective. 7/10

    The Rum Diaries 5/10

Started well but for a 2 hour film after the first 60 it just sort of petered and ended up being a movie about nothing

It's gonna look bad compared to the new Batman movie which is coming out around the same time.

And that's just pure acting, the plot is nothing special, hey the movie is about 5 proper scenes in all, but **** me the acting is stunning.

That scene when Alec Baldwin comes into the office for the first time is legendary stuff.
