I think they try to be weird for the sake of it. I find their production really uninspiring, and their lyricism is pretty weak. Pretty much everything they have to say was covered by Slim Shady circa 1998-2001. The only one who I like and will actively listen to is Frank Ocean, who has a really good voice. Yeah, as newcomers go they're ok. They're very hit or miss.

Like i said, i haven't really kept up with any new music so he may have released some newer stuff, but those are 3 of my favourites from him.
When you said Odd Future, i didn't even really think of Frank Ocean tbh. He's so out of place in that group, there all weirdos and he's the normal one, and the best one out of the lot imo. Depends what your into really, if you like that sort of ''OMG they skate and OMG they swear'' then you'll love Odd Future. However if you prefer 'normal' music then give Frank Ocean a listen.

Yauch, known in the Beastie Boys by his stage name MCA, announced in 2009 that he was being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node, however, it is not clear at present whether the rapper's death is related to his battle with cancer.
Alongside Mike D, Mix Master Mike and Ad Roc, Yauch co-founded the Beastie Boys in 1979, and the group went on to win multiple Grammies.
He is survived by his wife, Dechen Wangdu and daughter Tenzin Losel Yauch.
