In a interview with Rafa's chief scout, Eduardo Macia in 2008 he says this.
" Valencia's success in La Liga is made all the more impressive when you consider the opposition we finished ahead of. It's obviously clear that Rafa thought he could do at Liverpool what he had done at Valencia but got caught short. Then made excuses when he failed.
